Is his team affection bar too low? Did you deny him any transfer opportunities when he's "interested in a move"/"desperate for a move"?

Unfortunately the road back from them hating you to liking you is a long one, its just about playing them regularly and winning stuff (preferably with them in your team)

Personally I always sell the petulant buggers when they get the nark with me!

yea i rejected an offer for him when he's desperate for one, but i had no intention of selling him and it was a mistake on my part to put him in an ss position

Hmm... A nice way for rejecting an offer without hurting the player's affection for the team is to renegotiate for a higher transfer fee (2-3 times what the club is asking for), which will make them drop the offer instead of you, thereby not affect the affection bar. Hope that helps.

Then again, since the damage is now done, you should just focus on using Nani a lot, and try to win something with him, like what Avelives said.

Worth noting in this years version if you overprice them to much when trying to scare other clubs off, it also hurts their morale quite a bit, which is annoying.

Even more annoying when the club trying to buy him is ranked lower than you, are mid table and your basically the best team in Europe yet for some reason they are 'desperate to move' which has always baffled me. I can understand it when they are reserves who dont play much but when your best player gets this its just downright crazy and ridiculous.

Increasing the offer has worked every time for me, with the patch obviously you get some big offers, if you increase it by about 6-7m it should work, you are right however it can be risky especially with certain players who are chased by bigger clubs etc.

Yeah it pretty much always works just sometimes their morale still takes a hit, I assume its if you put the value up to what the computer deems ridiculous levels.

The desperate to move thing is a bit illogical though, for example Luis eduardo agrees to a contract extension and then he's "desperate to move" when a modest club makes an offer, I am then forced to go behind their backs and ask for extortionate fees due to their shit loyalty.

That whole 'desperate to move' thing seems pretty random to me at least. I mean i can have a striker who's doing really well for me, scoring goals and playing in the right position with a high morale yet a club comes in, offers some money and he's 'desperate to move'?

Thing is when i reject the move, his morale drops initially for a week or so then it shoots right back up.

But i warn you, using West Brom. It's going to be a titanic battle to keep a hold of your players! In January the amount of offers i was getting for my players was crazy! Again, i like the challenge, you want to build a team around players like Tamas, Carson, Odemwinge etc.. but when 6-7 clubs are after them and they don't want to take part in your revolution you will know how Martin O'Neil felt at Villa with Barry and Milner!

At least the best way in PES2010 was that simply hold the negotiations as long as you can. Don't answer anything to the negotiations. Then when enough time passes and the deadline for the deal comes, the other team will drop the offer.

Voila, no morale loss as you didn't reject, and this way you can't get more offers to the same players as he's already having the one in "negatiation" -status. which means you have to only reject one deal from him.

i think i may be forced to sell nani:realmad:, after playing him in his correct position for 6months, his affection bar is still zero. i don't wanna lose him for free because he is on his second last year of his contract and i doubt he's gonna sign a new one:crymore:

Awesome to hear its not just me who is taking this crap from my players, currently towards the end of my second season with Chelsea and so far Anelka, Terry, Kalou, Alex, Zhirkov, Ivanovic and Malouda have all taken this route, all of them except Terry who joined Man City recently went abroad only to return to the likes of Sunderland and Everton the very next season, Ivanovic who was the biggest ego of them all now finds himself plying his trade in the NPower Championship with Leicester City, and thinking that this would serve as an example to the rest of them I am currently battling to keep Forlan and the Drog in good spirits for next season, despite already winning the CL in my first season and looking pretty good for the league this time around. Probably Ill try sticking to the youth team wherever possible from now on, these guys know about loyalty for sure!!!

meh, I don't even look at player happiness. Piss on em if they get unhappy about having to sit a game because he has purple arrow form.
