ML help: Form - Agility / International call-ups

Hi,

Correct me if i'm wrong:

Form = A players average rating?

Agility = The coloured arrows to the right of the player?

@ form: GK Cesar Sanchez had a 7.0 over 3 games. Tried out assisted line-up, and the AI selected 2nd keeper Reenan who hadn't played a game yet, and has a lower overall. Am i right in thinking form is average ratings or does AI know best *sniggers*

@ agility: I can't believe that nimbleness has a BIG influence in choosing the starting 11. It sounds stupid, right, but that's what agility means. Again, am i right or do i need the offside rule explaining to me again?

@ International call-ups: If i buy a player from Bermuda (who aren't represented at national level), will he still get an Inter' cap as we can't actually see Inter' games physically played out.

Thanks for a reply *replies if i'm lucky* :D

As far as I'm aware agility is just a stat like body balance, shot technique, etc. The coloured arrows are condition? ( or atleast that's what I refer to it as). If this is wrong, maybe I'm the one who needs things expalining :(

lol. agility is how the player moves or how fast his movements are, like messi has really quick feet therefore higher agility. and the coloured arrows are condition.

That's what i thought. Choosing a player due to his speed? Looks like David Dunn is screwed..lol Of all the abilities, i ask ya. Should be form and overall.

Lol I almost thought you were joking SuperBob

Form is how much/quickly they recover after being tired at the end of a match.
E.g. if form is 8, and after the match they had 20% of stamina left, for a match 3 days later, they will have 90-95% of stamina left, and 5-10% fatigue.
With form at 1, they would have 30-40% stamina left, and 60%-70% fatigue.

"Picking players by ability" means that the AI will look at the postition, look at all the players who can play or preferred to be played in that position, and then pick the one with the highest overall stat there, but balanced so that won't leave you short too at another position they are good at.

It's picking players by aBility, not aGility.

Picking players by form" means that players with down blue or purple arrows won't get a look in, even if they are decent.

Bermuda player - I dunno, although I think not.

No, that's condition you mook. Form is how well the player will perform in the upcoming game. If it's red, then they will put in a tremendous shift. If it's purple, then they become lazy. Extremely lazy.

You're right. Lack of sleep. And so many words that in normal english mean basically the same thing, but in PES english mean completely different things.

I understand the concept just can't always remember the words

I also got confused with SuperBob's question where he said "7.0 over 3 games" and I assumed he meant condition.

In real life, if we say a player is in form, we'd mean, yes, he is playing well, and gor rated, 7/8+ out of 10 in the last few matches.

Unfortunately PES doesn't pick players by this usage of "form"
As you corrected me, it picks players by its internal parameter called "form" which = how high the player's arrow is pointing before the game (red at top, purple at bottom).

But kindly note that in ML, if your player has form of 8, they will rarely dip to blue and purple. If they have form of 1-3, it is much more likely.

And thankfully, at least a tidbit true to life, a player's form won't drastically swing from purple to red in 1 match or vice versa. Players (in ML, and perhaps in exhibition too?) can slowly "come into form" or "lose form" over the course of a few matches.

In a way, conditioning does, sort of play a role in a players form. If they have, say a 4 in conditioning, and you continuously play them without rest, yes their form will drop due to lack or stamina based on fatigue. But having an 8 in form will not stop random drops in form. It almost seems as though it's a random number generator. If you get a 3, you get a green arrow, if you a 1, you get a purple arrow, which is random and bullshit.

According to the Official Pes Guide I read couple years ago, the different form arrows affect certain attributes of the player for the upcoming game, with red being the highest positive effect (+12%) to green being neutral (+0%) to purple being the most negative effect (-12%).

Form affects player's attributes such as stamina, speed, passing, shooting etc., but it doesn't have an effect on attributes such as technique.

Generally, I don't think it's wise to ever let a player with purple arrow plays in the next match, as it also increases his injury possibility.
