I really wanted to play it last week so I went to my mate's house to play it. I was slightly surprised with how much it looks like PES. But as for the game play, well itis shocking, no where close to PES3, it feels soo slugish aswel. The visuals are nice on the eye, for example when you score you see your fans cheering. It is a shame for FIFA fans that they couldn't put this effort into the most important aspect in the game, gameplay. It is like a car, most would say the engine is the most important thing about the car. Who would buy a car that looks fantastic but has the engine of a remote control car? Not me!

gimp, you so obviously are ptbg! who else would know that apart from the person who has the username? (that being proud to be ginger) and dont judge a book by its cover! applies to FIFA in more ways than one

i played fifa 2004 and pes3 is way better. on fifa a striker cant outpace a defender, instead the defender somehow latches onto you and wins the ball every time

I hired and played fifa 2003, just to know the difference between PES2 and the Fifa games...i played for about 10 min getting sick of it..i was waiting for the game to end saying ..GAME OVER...CONITINUE? as if it was a bloody arcade game. I wasted $5 borrowing that game.PES3 skill level and gameplay is the most realistic to the real thing..not perfect..but the closest to actually playing the real game.

ok i'm obviously not gonna change certain ppls minds.

but do u not all agree that EA deserve respect for the effort they make every year.?

It could be said that Emile Heskey also puts in a lot of effort every year. Like it's been said before for fifa: "you can't polish a turd".

Effort? Respect? They are slowly copying all they can from the PES games. That's not effort.

If the FIFA contract runs out with EA Sports and they happened to sign on Konami to make the Official footie game, we all know how amazing PES would be with the licences added to their great game, whereas the fifa games would go down the toilet. All they have going for them is the licencing and the marketing attached to the official name of the federation for footie. Imagine a parallel universe where the official FIFA games are being made by Konami and EA stick to other sports as they should. The only way EA would know how a real football moves is for them to use some 'off-the-ball-control' move and have the ball hit them in the face.

Come off it.
The controls "magically" changed so the speed button went from bashing Triangle to holding R1?

no really

don't hate me because i like fifa, its just my opinion!

and yes fifa is fun, every year when i get a fifa game i love it but after a while i notice the bugs and bad pionts and never play it.

so far i have yet to see any bad points(apart from no international cup and the crossing)
but one of my fav moments is when a fouls is commited.

the players get up and do diffrent things
example:i fouled veron from behind in the penalty area and it showed a cut scene of him getting up and pushing solskear and then all the other players started pileing in and the referee had to separate them!

the animation was great and its little things like this that can make it so much better!!

we should not comdemn him, just because he has a different opinion of footy games. let him play FIFA, and we will play PES3 and have fun as well.

y should people say ban giggsy if he likes fiffa.. i mean i got fifa 2004 i neva play it but i still own it. it plays like shit, but ive only played it for like 15 mins max! Now i know when i 1st played pes 1 i thought that was complete shit, i was waiting for summin like what i used to play on the super nes (sum konami iss game i think) but i was amzed by the shooting. Afta i carried on with fiffa 2002 i was wondering whether to put it bk one it was in it didnt come out till pes2. i wanted to put that straight down , and wanted to carry on with pes but played like 2 matches and i was addictied. BUT with pes3 that took me about 5-10 matches to find everything out and get used to it, maybe the same is with fifa 2004!!
