my biggest gripe with FIFA is the fact a player can be on the game yet i cant sign him. I have only been playing since 09 and this problem has continued. Both games i search for Darijo Srna knowing full well he is on it in the Croatia team yet he doesnt appear because he doesnt have a club on the game. why not take a leaf out of PES's book and put a generic symbol in as other club, so you still have to pay and cant get him on a free but at least you can then buy anyone on the game! its just fucking stupid how they have over 200 pointless licensed teams from miscellaneous leagues which nobody will ever use yet they dont have Shaktar Donekst the Uefa cup winners of last year. they have some decent players that would make good signings for teams around mid table in the prem or above, i mean thats where Elano came from. Dammit both football games keep making the same mistakes, its just ignorance.

oh and dont get me started on game face, what a waste of time, the servers always down, i guess thats what happens when you force players to use a PC instead of a vision camera. i mean if we could do it in game they wouldnt have server issues, and the biggest dumb thing is is that game face is in game in both tiger woods and fight night so why not FIFA. they could have even taken PES's method which was simple and harvested great results in 09.

Have you noticed anything about increased player individuality?

Or maybe im going mad, i notice a difference between my players, both defensivley and offensivley.

Tech: Got a question, I dont have online capability with my PS3. In terms of gameplay (I dont touch MM and what not) I just play football, is FIFA buggy at all? or should I proceed? I heard crap about finesse ball bugs and all but if I just stick to the basics is it ok?

There is supposed to be an issue where you can score from 35 yards out with finesse shot, i havent noticed that yet, thats probably because im shite at the game so far.

The gameplay is very different to 09 in certain aspects, defending is alot harder at there is a new collision system where by smaller quicker players can nip around bigger players, but they are more prone to being muscled off the ball, its designed to stop cunts taking messi and just running past defenders all the time.

You'll be fine mate, trust me, for the negative talk about aspects of the game, you can do some amazing things, i would buy it and try it for yourself.

In terms of the way the user can play football, the freedom they have and the different attacking and defending options, its argueably the best ever seen.

That is the crappiest bug in FIFA. It exists since 08. It just ruins the game for me. This proves that EA is all about marketing..no real knowledge and no real will to improve on issues which can make the gameplay look shite. The bug I'm discussing is something like this. Long shot using Finesse. You can score easily 95% of the time.

In the pes 2010 demo, during a substitution, sometimes the official holding up the subs board is actually one of the football players lmao. (eg, sergio ramos).

Bugs happen all the time and ea fucked up with a few things, but the core gameplay is serious.

Ps. PES is known for being able to take one man and run through entire teams, or run to the by line and cut back, so its not as if it doesnt have issue either.

And fifa have already released a patch for the finesse shots and goalkeepers anyways.

Man, like i said above and have said many times, EA fucked up, fifa 10 isnt what we thought it would be.

But what i will defend is the core gameplay because you can play some truly amazing football in this game.

Fucking hell, i need to play pes, from what ive seen, it dont look realistic at all to me. I really dont see where this arcadey gameplay shit about fifa comes from, techically it gives you more control and you can do more on the pitch. EA fucked up on alot of things this year, but no one can seriously call fifa 10 an arcade game.

Im still taking time to get used to it, overall ea fucked up big time by not QA'ing the game properly and releasing a version full of bugs.

But in terms of what i can do on the pitch technically, no pes ive played can match this, forget about pes 5/6 and all that shite too, cos fifa 10 is more advanced in terms of technical football.

I would advise pes fans to give it a proper unbiased chance and stop being bitches, cos the amount of tards on here saying its 09 with real kits are fucking morons, the moment you play the game you can tell it plays different to 09, the semi assisted passing alone is way less accurate than in 09 and I think there is more player indviduality too amougst other things.

Fifa does some things very well and realistically but overall they got football wrong. The tactical movement of players is not as good as Pes. Balls that leave the ground are still floaty (but not as much as 09) and nowhere near as realistic as Pes where shots and passes sometimes get drilled. The tricks are sexy looking but really arcadey as well. Felipe Melo a 5 star trickster? Say what? Playing against Chicago Fire on world class and they're constantly busting out fancy skill moves :no:.

Pes imo is much stronger tactically. Even in 2009, most of the times a match will play out very realistically in terms of movement. Countless times I'd be watching a real match and see nice plays and wonder to myself if I can pull those off in Pes and guess what? I pop the disc in after the match and voila. This scenario just doesn't happen in Fifa unless the play you saw was a ball over the top to fast striker for 1-1 with gk. Quick passing plays just don't handle well in Fifa.

Since you hate 2009 I highly doubt you'd like Pes 2010 though cuz gameplay is really similar only more refined.

All this bullshit of every team and player feeling the same is PES propaganda, im playing with Bayern as we speak and the difference between Gomez and Ribery is very apparent.

You could always tell in Pes, and Pes 2010 goes even further with the player cards. You instantly know why Xavi is the best playmaker in the world. Ribery and Messi are both great dribblers but in their own very noticeable little ways. This is one of the main things that makes Pes more appealing and realistic for me.

Im watching Inter, so ill get to this point, YES, i can see the difference between ribery and messi, especially in terms of dribbling, passing, not so sure cant remember, but there is deffo more of difference, i dont play with english teams so wouldnt know about drogba, but there is a difference between ibra and gomez, ribery and robben are different too, big difference when playing with Kaka for madrid, he was able to do much more accurate passing long story, yes, i think there is a difference there.

Ill try to play some more in a bit before confirming.

ps. that ball over the shit top is done in fifa 10, pimping that tactic doesnt work against the AI

So beautifully said this is what i have thought from day one but not many agreed, on pes without the names being said you can really feel who you are playing with where as on fifa...there are 3 types of player...fast, slow and strong, and everyone that falls in to there catagories feel the same.....well thats how it seems to me anyway.

i agree. you can really notice who you are controlling with the ball. its a great thing about pes.

i just played the new fifa round my mates house, and alot of its good, but there are some annoying flaws. this finesse long shot thing, and chipping makes it abit unsatisfying when playing. He did it a few times, and I can imagine that this would make the game too easy. I’m pleased that the new Pes has taken away how easy it is to fake shot round people now, which just helps to make the game that bit harder.

Man, i make judgements based on what i see and know as a pes player of many many years, but i will make my final judgement on pes 2010 when i have game, you lot need to calm down a little yet, just because i dont have the game, doesnt mean i cant make valid points, and let me remind you, no one here has the final version yet, and like i said before, ironically, i could be one of the 1st people on here with a copy, if i could be arsed.
