I agree with SWOS completely! Almost wrote that in actually. SWOS menu music was perfect, very pleasant.
Plus the game simply had the best career mode in any footie game to date...

I think that is the way Konami should go next. Instead of there "Ideal" PES being to be online with 1 person controlling each individual player they need to focus on the depth which SWOS had. I mean just think of how long ago now it was when SWOS first came out. The technology and expectations are alot higher since then but they still refuse to implement the basics now! :(

My SWOS days were happy times with Walsall (????) top of the league with a quality number of players. :D

I've never liked the WE/PES music personally, it would be good if you could incorporate your own mp3's (maybe easier with pc version). But until then like Zyg said there is always patching, and thanks to Solidus' new guide (in english) I now know where the other music files are, should be good once I get some of me own tunes in there :D

Yeah, exactly. I've been hoping for that in a PES game ever since ISSPES on PS1! I thought "if they'll ever get the career mode with the teams like in SWOS i'll jump through the roof".
It seems ridiculous that with modern technology etc it hasn't happened yet.
BUT, the thing that i forget is that i don't know if Sensible SOftware ever actually PAID any licensing money, or if they did, the amount was probably a LOT smaller than what FIFA demands nowadays. It has to be some legal thing or something that stops KCET. Still, the career mode in SWOS was better than the Master League system in PES, in my opinion. You could actually start by a Premiership division 3 team and gradually climb up the ladder. Get more money, loan players, trade international money trades etc. Oh i remember the pain when my top scorer got a black cross! (= out for season...) :D Man, SWOS was just golden...

please KCET aim for this in the future... i'm begging ya!

lol! This is making me feel old! :D I forgot about those dreaded Black crosses for a season long injury. It used to be terrifying when your player got challenged and he'd be on his back clutching his leg for a few seconds then just be as slow as shit. :p When financial times were hard and you had only one decent striker to pound those diagnol strikes from outside the area into the back of the net it used to get worrying and often saves "just had to be reloaded!!" :D

Hehehe, that's class! I remember having some financial problems as well, i got threatened that "if you do not balance the club's budget, you will be sacked"... so i had to let go of an expensive player, (like david ginola for example) only to have him get a black cross just when everybody was offering loads of money for him! naturally then every club pulled the offer, leaving me there with an injured star player and the debt collector knocking on the door! :D those were the times...

I'd like to hear 'the birdy song' when someone limps off the pitch....

and maybe something like 'I'm too sexy' when you score.....

In all seriousness though ... they should definately put 'we are the champions' when you parade around with your trophy !!!!!
