Finally! after pissing around all day trying to get my crowd chants to play for more than a few seconds ive worked it out and here is a guide for all you loveley fellow players.

Right, before all this I found a pack of premier league chants (mp3's) for all teams on this forum which a member put together (cant remember the name but thanx its awesome!) but when I imported them, they were just playing the first 2 or 3 seconds. Ive come to a conclusion that its the way they are encoded and the PS3 or Pro Evo doesnt like it so heres what I did:

Step 1: Burn your selected chants (mp3's) as an AUDIO CD not an mp3 cd (I used NERO).

Step2: Insert your audio CD into the PS3 and select "import" so it copies them to you PS3's HDD (this is the bit im thinking solves it as the PS3 encodes the files to a more playable way).

Step 3: Add your new copied/ripped chants into the "KONAMI_PES" playlist

Step 4: On pro evo in edit, go to team edit then "cheering stance" for your selected team then choose "MP3 library" and select the file/chant you want (note that the file name will now only be something like "AUDIO 1,2,3" etc as you ripped it from CD but you can change the name in the PS3 music section)

Now the chant plays all the way through and doesnt cut off at all! You can test it obviously by preesin SQUARE to prove it!

Wow man! Thanks A LOT! If this works then I dunno how to thank you!!! So you are saying that if I have like one chant file with 5 mins of chants then it will play right through it without stops? That's awesome! :)

Im not %100 sure if it'l play one file that long but try it man! The chants im using are around 30-40 secs long so far but im just gonna try and merge some together as one file now like you have and try that, ill let you know soon, im certainly getting there tho!

Thanks man! Im pretty excited if it really works. I hope I'll get the game tomorrow, so I'm doing all the prep work today so my Zenit looks and sounds right :)

YEEEEES! I can officially confirm it works! Ive just merged about 10 Hull City chants together as one MP3 file (totalling about 4 minutes), did exactly what I said in my first post and imported it into the game, it plays all the way through like a charm!.......Do it guys, im sure my method will work! Let me know!

PS....If youre using NERO, just before you burn the audio CD, it helps if you tick "normalize audio files" as this helps keep all the chants at the same noise level sounding more realistic!

So does this work for in-game music (on the menus) too? Whenever I tried music the game would only play 2 songs. The rest it didnt like and froze up on me afterwards.

Sweet! Well, now I'll be cheering for Hull next time I see their game, if you are really their fan :)

Yes im a City fan! And yes the method will work for menu music aswel mate I promise!, my next step now is to insert a few "generic crowd" noises between each chant so in the game it doesnt sound like one Hull city chant after the other. So ill choose the chants to burn to CD, put them in my desired order (i.e hull city chant, one minute generic crowd sound, city chant, 30 second generic chant etc), merge them, burn them, rip em onto PS3, Into PES and off I go!

The only way it can be done mate is ONE sound file (ie a load of chants merged together to form on big long chant if you get me) per team and it will basically get to the end and repeat itself (thats y its best to cram as many chants in the one sound file as poss). I pretty sure the order of chants does not change while playing. I think by the way too that the crowd chants are based on the HOME team (i could be wrong). Im gonna start working on a chant pack for all EPL teams tomorrow which will sound awesome I promise! Ill have it ready for anyone to download within the next 3 or 4 days as im working too! All you'll then have to do is download, and follow my guide above to get em in your game. Ive got all the chants etc I need, Ive just gotta merge them and add a few generic crowds etc to really spice it up then put it together in a pack for everyone.

Anyone else tried it yet?

That will be great matey. I'm a Blackburn fan so if you manage to get the chants plus some others on one file that would be fantastic! :D

I'll try myself but not to sure how to do it as I do not have Nero on my new machine. :(

Only problem is that when you score or hit the post or something, the chant start over again from the start which can get a bit annoying but oh well, they sound better than the original pes ones, they are boring and flat in my opinion.

What if the ball goes out of bounds or you get a yellow card? How about if you add your chant for MU for example, will your chant be mixed in with KONAMI's chants? Or will it be only your chant all the time?

its basically your chant all the time with othe stadium noise in the background. Would be better if it was kinda randomized with konami's definateley.

anyone else confirm this works? other people i know have tried it and reported back on other fourms, not great, saying it isn't working for them.

ah man my trial version of Nero just ran out an i deleted it. looks like il have to fond another lol. but good post wil defo use this in my free time.
