I think one of the very best things about PES3 was the freekicks. Alot better then F**A, which felt like a tiger woods golf swing! The fact that you had to practice and it was different with each player made it superb. Also the fact that you did'nt have any arrows in the middle of the screen helping u was more realistic. I really don't hope they made it easier to score on the new pes, that would piss me off!

Go out to your nearest football field and try to do a David Beckham curl into the top corner. It's bloody hard, and it should also be hard in the game! But when you finally score, it's worth it!

geokas, a player like rivaldo would never come to PAO, u can only dream of players like, but i guess this is not the place to talk bout, anyway, for the meantime, keep dreaming! oh and great perfomance last nite in champions league, i guess it will be another 7 years before u win the league again

Lazandreas you better check your facts and sources before you start bitching on someone. On 22 july 2004, Rivaldo DID get contracted by Olympiakos Piraeus. You're making a fool out of yourself... moron.

yea i agree in PES 3 freekicks were ace, though i find it alot harder in WE 8....i've only scored 3 so far, one with c.ronaldo, one with r.carlos, and one with gerrard.

If the gameplay is much faster than in PES3, then I think Konami have failed (and I´ll stick to PES3 for at least a year). Even PES3 felt sometimes too fast when compared to real thing and whoever suggests that PES4 should relate to PES2, should get his head examined! Somehow I feel they´ve made too drastic changes to the game and we probably have to wait for PES5 or get the WE8:I!
I have a new demo of Pro Evolution soccer 4 and i can say its defintly not faster than PES 3!!!!!!!!I cant believe it! Here are so many people who telling us its faster than PES!But it isnt so!!And thats a very good sign!! :p

Got PES4 and have to say that i am very dissapointed. The graphics are excellent, player movemnts and animation is superb. HOWEVER having owned WE8 with its horrific slowdown i looked forward to that being sorted for PES4 - it hasnt been !!!!!

it is slightly better but why in 2004 do we still have slowdown - i would prefer slightly less detialied graphics and have smoother gameplay.

The other dissapointment was that of the camera angles. Despite having numerous camera options to play the game I have not found one that is like PES3 which i thought on standard mode was perfect. In PES4 you can have medium mode that is too close so you cant see much of whats around you - but the longer mode is too far way and makes the game very slow.

On a another note- the different speeds in the game could be down to your TV processor speed. I use a 100htz widescreen TV that made PES3 super fast and very playable, shots and passes were crisp unlike on my firends TV which made the game sluggish.

Does anyone have any info on when WE8 international or whatever it will be called is due to be out - hopefully this will be a better version - i had we7i and that was by far the best verison of PES i have played.

Have to say the slowdown is terrible. Playing on wide view on 60hz. When it starts raining you might as well make a cup of tea during the time it takes a cross to come into the box. Still having fun though but will swap for the xbox version if that solves it.

played pes4 for 2 days. the graphics and players movement are much cooler than pes3 or course. however, the shooting part seem to be not as realistic as pes3, and seriously, i feel like playing fifa games!! to shot hard and low is very difficult, cannot shoot fast too. but the passing has improved alot. great game!
by the way, anyone can share with me how to shot like in pes3? low, hard and fast thanks

The release version is always likely to be better.
I do hope that those who have the beta are going to buy the original too.

Rooney is at Everton.

:) ive played PRO EVO 4(i couldnt wait so i brought the demo from THE OFFICIAL MAGIZINE)
Very impressed i heard FIFA was VERY good this year but i will not be HARRASED by the devil LOL i think the goal keepers dive BETTER and the feeling of the game is the SAME.

Level 5(*5) is easy as i have the demo and i can score 3 goals in a match (and this is just up to half time ,the match is 5min long)

Graphics are SHARPER and the control and handling of the players is better and the player actually goes were you WANT them too.

And theres no gay celebrations LOL!!!

Got the game today and played about 6 matches. Takes a lot of getting used to, as they all do. Will end up loving the game though, its good

Oh and ive already seen the first gay celebration!

Winning Eleven 8 AMAZING!!!!

i only just recently bought the game, and straight away i jumped into master league. what was great was when u can start out making your own team from scratch, by customising the unfiform, making your own sponsers, just making your own team was great. FC kav!!!! the best team. from the first couple of games i played it was just 10 times better than pro evo 3. i didint really like pro evo 3 compared to WE6:FE. pro evo 3 just lacked soo much. it was tooo easy 2 score from 35 yards out. a simple tap of square and it missiles in. GK's were terrible, they would just fall down instead of diving. the dribbling systtem was very scruffy. wasnt a metter of skill on the ball, anyone could just run and hope for a scramble. just certain aspects of the game was just soo anoying. but WE8 is great. everything that was wrong with pro evo 3 has been corrected, and everything that was great from WE6:final Evo, has been imrpoved. its harder to score longer range shots, and dribbling with the ball is much better. konami have done it with this one!!!! BEST FOOTBALL GAME, MAYBE BEST GAME ON PS2. (but still Final Fantasy X still has to be the best). WE8 comes after!!

Ill post a better impression:

Graphics:
Well they look good, at first i wasnt impressed going straight from 3 to 4. However after a few games you see more details and in general it just looks better. One important feature has to be the kits. The licensed look so much better then the generic ones ( ive decided to get a maxdrive as its such a big difference).

Gameplay:
Also good, however you now really see the difference with which team you play. Played my first game with liverpool and cisse just kept knocking the ball to far( bad control). Also the passing and crossing is better. The shooting really takes getting used to( played 6 games and still havent managed to get it right). But you can see the difference and how it will be good when you get it used to it. After the first game i went in to the training and started doing the challenge one. Makes a big difference. The speed is slightly faster then pes3. however it does depend how you play. You can determine the speed with you passing style.
Sound:
Well as with every other pes i turn commentary and music off. The crowds are ok (played argentina who scored in the second half of extra time and the crowd started singing "argentina, argentine". Good touch ( was in the older ones aswell though)
