i know what you are saying mate..... i also play online most nights ( mp78 ) and get annoyed at the fact no-one ever wants to play a proper "football" match. I rarely get a match that isnt against Barca or Inter with their super human steroid filled players!!. this wouldnt be a problem as i havnt got a problem with either side in real life its just that online people pick these teams as they both have a few players who when they get the ball it is pretty much impossible to get the ball off them.
Then as expected when one of these players get the ball ( e.g. Adriano , Etoo ) they run straight down the wing knocking my players over as if they were some skinny little 15 year old then pass the ball along the ground across the goalmouth for a tap in ! surely these people must get bored of doing that every time?? I would honestly estimate that around 75% of the goals i concede are from this type of attack. I have tried setting my defence up several different ways to counter this, but even if you do have players there to tackle , most the time its pointless because they can run through your player!
Alot of this is down to the lack of time spent on player stats when this game was designed. e.g I know Messi is a great player but when he runs into players like rio ferdinand and knocks him over and carrys on like nothing happened, it leaves you extremely pissed off because that is totally unrealistic. ( 5foot 9inches and 10 stone vs.6foot 4inches and 15 stone)
I suppose it is expected when there are glitches in a games design that people will exploit them. I just think it is a waste of time if you are going to play a football game and just go down the same route to goal every time, as has been mentioned before these types of goals will be scored every now and then but for fucks sake cant you vary it a bit??
my suggestion to these people is " go and watch some real football and you will see there is actually more than one way to score" (and yes unfortunately for you that means you have to pass the ball around and use more than just 2 or 3 players out of your starting eleven !! )
But after all is said and done, if these people are satisfied by winning games this way and it makes them feel like they are very good then thats up to them , all i say is " you are shit at this game if you can only beat other players with the same couple of teams and a handful of players" and " if you are one of these mentioned people ( inter/barca only players)and think i am talking shit then try using a different team and you will see what i am talking about, you will have a nasty shock when you actually have to use skillfull build up play to break the other team down!!!
