Dr. Bob Kelso
Welcome back...
Ok so I thought to myself I needed a bit of a challenge and I wanted to go a side with obvious room for improvement and a side I could mould. I decided on Schalke 04.
My dilemna is this. I am trying to only sign players who I believe COULD one day end up at Schalke or have reason to leave their clubs. Preferably German but if not just the best available.
I have so far signed:
Lahm (ok he will prob stay at Bayern but him sharing his game time is enough for him to be a reasonable target for me)
Klose (German top scorer and I wanted to make a statement to the rest of the Super league, future currently in doubt and not getting any younger so I offered him the pay day of his dreams
)
Wilhelmsson (No offence but not exactly at a big club and impressed enough to warrant a big money move.)
Now my side looks like this.
Rost (best keeper in Europe at the moment having conceded only 2 goals in half a season)
Krstajic
Bordon
Dario Rodriguez
Rafinha (most promising youngster)
Poulsen (links defence and attack)
Lovenkrands (speedy option for the left)
Lincoln/ Hamit Altintop (both share playing time but can see Lincoln gone at the end of the season)
Asamoah/ Wilhelmsson (obviously wilhelmsson now first choice)
Sand/Kuranyi
Klose/ ?
And that would be where the problem comes in. I don't know who should partner Klose. At the moment the two above will do the job but Ideally I am looking for a young promising striker to come in and make the spot his own.
Any ideas ? Remember has to be realisticish (not a word)
