Referees are shit - red cards straight away

Boring - too slow

Dribbling - pointless because your player acts like simple jack and has terrible motor skills

Passing - can be good when the ball actually goes to the player you're passing to but most of the time it goes nowhere near whereas before the ball went to the right player more often but becasue of AI/physics chip through ball was pointless.

Overall: Basically I'm hoping that when they fully release this it isn't going to be totally boring like it is now. Sure the animation is far better and the physics etc but it's so slow and lacks playability.

There's been good points and bad points with every release with PES6 being the best all round so far , but this new one is just like a more modern PES5, which was awful.

I hope I start to enjoy this more as I play it but I just get frustrated with how boring it is. Before anyone says 'maybe you should stop losing LOL' - winning isn't the issue for me.

sorry for the cross post guys - this forum just seems to be more active than the feedback one.

Too slow?

I have PES 2010 on order (my credit card has already had the funds taken out!), so it's too late for me to turn back (not that I would anyway), but without having played a demo, I checked out some footage on U-tube and was disappointed to see how incredibly fast the game was.

Too slow!

Ba-doing!

I just hit myself on the side of my head.

Haha your thoughts are ridiculous.

Download the WE2010 demo of the Japanese PSN Store or the Japanese XBOX Live MarketPlace and have a look at that game because it has improved from the PES2010 Demo. I'm not saying that you will like it, but just give it a try.

But everyone is entitled to thier thoughts and opinions :) So it's ok.

Yes go to Fifa and play 3 buttons game. BTW I was Fifa fan since 1995 year and now I see that PES ( PC ) is much, much, much better!!!!

I've been playing the PES demo every night for the past week, and I have to say it's anything but boring.

Look, I'm new to the whole football experience. I've only recently begun watching real life matches on a regular basis, and I believe the last football video game I played with any regularity was Intellivision Soccer. I've fiddled with FIFA now and again over the years, but had never before played a PES game. Last year I downloaded the FIFA 09 demo, and wasn't impressed enough with it to warrant a purchase. But, having taken a renewed interest in the sport, I decided that this would be the year that I would purchase a football game. So, having no preconceived notions, I downloaded both the FIFA 10 and PES 10 demos, and have played a fair bit of both over the past week, because I really wanted to take my time in deciding which game would get my money. But with each passing day, I play FIFA less and PES more. Why? Because I think FIFA is boring, and PES is loads of fun.

While I may not be an expert on the nuances of football, I'm not an idiot. The more I play both demos, the more I'm able to understand the criticisms that are being leveled at them. Yes, I see that the keepers in PES don't react as quickly as they should, and that the keepers in FIFA are better. Yes, the reaction times between button inputs and pass/shot execution in PES can be a problem. Yes, the animations in FIFA are smoother and more varied. No, passes don't always go where you intend them to. However, even if the final PES 10 game played exactly like the demo -- which it won't, of course -- I would still pick PES over FIFA, because PES is exciting to play. I haven't played two matches that have felt the same. Every single goal I've scored, as well as every goal that's been scored against me has been well-fought and thrilling to watch play out. Even if once in a while on the replay I see that the keeper probably should have saved it, I can live with that. And the midfield play just feels right, as opposed to FIFA, where it is nonexistent.

I'm no PES fanboy. I have no allegiance to the game. In fact, when I first played the demo, after trying the FIFA demo, I was ready to write PES off, and pick FIFA. But something made me go back for another look. And another. And another. And now there is no doubt in my mind that I will be buying PES this year.

Boring. Feh! Maybe this rant I just went on was boring, but PES? No way!

Too Slow???????????
I think what he means is that he wants to bomb up and down the pitch slamming shots at goal without releasing the 'run' button, never knowing the tactical side?

'Isn't there another game that you can do that on'- someone tell him?

i agree with some points and disagree with others, but at the end of the day anybody who starts a thread entitled my thoughts about so and so about a game thats not even been released is inviting critisism. i like to think everybodys opinion on this forum is listened to but if everybody started a thread entitled my thoughts the forum would be pointless, this could have gone in a number of other threads but i guess you just wanted some attention....

It's not without flaws also. It's far from being a finished article. There need to be a lot of tweaks between that and the final code imo.

I agree with Muzza. Play the WE demo. It's incomparable to the pes demo.

Pardon my ignorance but how can i get hold of the WE demo for PS3. Having played the Pro demo i am still disappointed that Konami have failed to deliver a Pro game akin to those that were released on PS2 prior to next gen consoles coming to the market.
