I'm picking up the US version today when I get off of work. If someone can convert a PAL file to work with the US version of the game, I can convert that file to work on the PS3. I have the memory card converter.

Does anyone know if the PESeditor works with this years game?

Now to the matter at hand, in order to convert PES5 option files to WE9I option files all you need is a handy (and free!) little program for the PC entitled PS2 Save Builder, you can get it from:

http://www.ps2savetools.com/download...tleA&sho w=10

It's about halfway down the page.

Download, extract, and open that bad boy up.

Now in the Save Builder, you want to do the following:
1. Open the save file you want to convert (i.e. the PES5 option file you downloaded from evo-web, or wherever).
2. Now you should see the Root/ID as something like: BESLES-xxxxxPES5OPT, underneath that, you should see three file names and their sizes (the BESLES-xxxxxPES5OPT, icon.sys, and icon_view).
3. Click the first filename twice until you can edit its text.
4. Now in place of BESLES-xxxxxPES5, write "BASLUS-21220WWE9OPT" (the BASLUS portion notifies that it's an NTSC game, the 21220 is the five digit code on the spine of the game, and the WWE9OPT is the pathname used by the game for its option files).
5. Save the file, exit, and export that mammajamma to your memory card.
6. Turn on your hot copy of WE9 and enjoy.

Has anyone tried this yet?

What a fucking waste of $30 dollars........

Not only did they leave out the special hair styles yet again this season, but now you can't even edit the boots!?!?!?!?!

Are you kidding me?

Plus, many of the preset faces look comically worse off now. Drogba, Gerrard, Becks, and even cover boy Ronaldo look horrible in the PS2 game. Some faces do look better - Rooney and Quaesma stand out as looking pretty great over last years game. But what an overall letdown.

I doubt I'm going to waste my time with this version. If they can get the PS3 game up to par next year, I'll import that, but this current game is just offensive.

I can convert the PS2 files for the PS3 when I get home. I'm hearing that they're showing up currupt though when you load the game. I'll check it out after work tonight fellas.

Pategato sent me back a bunch of converted ones, and I appreciate his effort a million times over, but the game says they're corrupted.

It seems that a simple ID change is not enough with this year's option files. I tried some yesterday and could not get them to work. I haven't tried the ones that pategato uploaded. If those have the same problem, the game will recognize them but stop loading almost immediately with a corrupted file message.

In case it matters, the ID on the game box spine is wrong. On mine, it says "21865." The correct ID is "21685." The game will not recognize a save with the wrong ID at all.
