I brought this up in the Konami feedback forum, as I'm really not happy about it. Unfortunately, this seems to be the direction that many in the industry think that video games should go.

I don't understand what this is about. I am new to the ps3.
Is it like the Wii (about the motion thing)?

It is shaun. I think it's ridiculous. If I wanted to wave my arms around looking like an idiot, I'd buy a Wii. Saying that, I won't be buying one of these for my PS3 but if we're forced to use it for well established game series' that previously didn't have the need for it then that's completely wrong imo. Fair enough if they bring out Wii Sports style games where they use these motion detector peripherals exclusively.

Video games are supposed to be about sitting on your backside and having a good old button bash. If I wanted the exercise I'd go for a run/play football/join a gym or even buy a Wii. I don't want my 'hardcore' consoles and games dumbed down and turned into a kiddies playground thanks.

I think the development team should focus their time and effort elsewhere instead of this completely unnecessary addition.

Maybe it would be like GTA IV's steering where you can do it the old style or with motion style (sixaxis)

That would be ok for a rugby game where the ball is in your hands... football game using sixaxis to say, swerve a fk? No.
