Been watching his training videos Zero? I'm predicting a blowout season for him and the Wizards in general. Should be great to see him in full action once again.

Play-Asia fucked up on my order!
Cant wait to get this, by the way did you (Stringer) get it?

Finally got it.

Started "My Player", created a 6"7 Shooting Guard, struggled at the training camp meaning Mavericks didn't sign me. I was then given a list of teams who still were interested, I opted for Thunder.

Went through the training season, and didn't get cut. So I am now on the bench, Ive played 5 games of the season so far (2-3),

Really enjoying it, some game. I can't wait till I grow like a beast

Cant stop playing the My Player mode, hardly touched any of the other modes.

My bloke is called JJ 'The Captain' Crunch and is a 6"3 Point Guard and i was doing terrible. Dropped to the D-league and i played for the Vipers, my performances started picking up(a few B's and an A) then the Cavaliers came in and gave me a 10 day contract, ive played 3 games so far, First i got a D..played terrible but in the second two games i got an A (scoring 32 points) and A*(scoring 42 points :D) woop.

My player is generally weak, highest attribute is 73 (i think) for layups. Layups are the only way i can score really lol, my jumpshots are terrible especially at 3 pointer range.

Highlights Vipers @ Torros.

Played around 15 games for the Thunder, we've ony won 4 though......I tend to average C's and B's, got a couple of A's, but kind of struggling. For a shooting guard, Im seriously not scoring enough, Ive done quite a bit of shooting in training and usually only increase my middle shooting and lay-ups attributes.

Average around 8 pts a game which is definitely below par, any tips?

Been looking for a 'serious' basketball game (the street stuff doesn't appeal) and like the idea of building a career akin to FIFA/PES/Madden, so this seems like the fella, but is it the best...?
Any advice appreciated...

The point guard position is the only position that you should be playing to be honest Rainey, because the computer AI tends to play around the team system. So you are playing with the Thunder, they wont really pass you the ball to score because you arent proven enough or your not getting in enough 'open' positions. When I mean open, it can mean you being wide open, so that the nearest defender cannot block your shot. Or open as in, being open with a defender close by and then making the extra effort to get past him to score, like with a pump fake move, jabstep, crossover etc. Of course it all depends on how good your player is at this but it should still be essential for a guard, SG or PG.

For Baboons, youve picked the best position because you control the team, you decide if the play will end up with you scoring or someone else and also, you have more of a chance of increasing the grades because you can assist more as well as score. Giving up the ball is very easy and can sometimes be more effective than scoring. My player was very good at this because I decided that I didnt need to take jumpshots playing with Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph, Lamar Odom and OJ Mayo. They were all exceptional at scoring so all I had to do was find the best way to get the ball to the open man. Throughout the season I became better at Layups and my ball handling skills were excellent which meant a simple behind the back dribble was all it took to get past the defender and a free lane to score. I was also 6'7 which is very tall for a PG but I was able to grab rebounds and begin the fast breaks myself. I became a poor mans Jason Kidd, but My Grizzlies got to the playoffs, only to get knocked out by the Spurs in the second round (Tony Parker was way to fucking fast).

Fick, it sure is the best. For an arcadey like game, EA Sport's NBA Live will be the answer, they've improved over the years but still trail behind the 2k Franchise just because of the realism, the gameplay and the graphics. EA Sports always seemed to have the stronghold on other game franchises in sports because they always aquired the sponsors and made it unfair for other developers to give fans a game they wanted. Well, 2K have basically said, we dont give a fuck about that, we'll still create the better game. (*Cough Konami and PES*) EA still has the better interface but thats pretty much it, they have the license to Madison Square Garden, but frankly, when the New York Knicks are as shit as they are, its like sponsoring Nottingham Forest.

The game had a few glitches, they were incredibly stupid, lazy and just sloppy like Caucasian players with black arms and black players with white arms, cheerleaders running onto the court whilst the game was going on. They have released 2 patches since the game was released and everything seems back to normal. Buy it Fick, I would recommend everyone to buy it, but obviously, not alot are interested.

Cheers mate, as much as anything it's the career mode that appeals the most, glad to hear about the patches too, reading through the last few pages the glitches needed sorting.

Will look at picking it up this weekend in exchange for the disappointing MX v ATV :faceplm:

Is there anyway to change position? The coach has made me play point guard during some of the games as well as small forward.

Not if youve started it as your listed position. I was made to play SG sometimes because of my skills, but I was okay with that. My honest suggestion is to start over and become a PG because it helps improve you playing this game and subsequently your player. Ive tried all of the position, ive had that much time with this game and all of them rely on how good the PG is, but its a different story when your the teams PG. I ousted Mike Conley as soon as the AI realised that I was doing much more, I think I averaged around 10PPG, 8APG and 5RPG.

I havent played My Player in ages because my player got stuck in the D-League glitch, but I might start one now. Giggidy.

Finally won our 5th game of the season, I think we've played around 20 games so far which is an extremely poor record. Slowly but surely I'm improving, I can't wait until next season when my stats have increased quite a bit (hopefully). I want to be a shooting guard that can thump in a few dunks every game.
