NBA live 2005 vs ESPN NBA 2k5- which is the better game

How many people will be playin ESPN NBA 2K5 on Xbox Live? I am getting an xbox live connection hooked up soon and among the first games ill be playing online will be ESPN NBA 2K5 so has anyone got it and played online or are planning to do so?
Also, any suggestions or tips as to what team to use would be helpful, im contemplating between the L.A. Lakers, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic but i'm siding towards the Magic currently.

UNfortunalety, it seems there will be no online capabilities for ESPN NBA 2k5 for Europe. There is not even a clear date of its release. Besides you have a chipped copy (from America) meaning you can't play online.

What??? There is no excuse for that surely? I was looking forward to purchasing a UK version of the game to play online, as i saw it was #7 in the Top 10 Xbox Live charts recently. This is ridiculous Damn it..not fair..waa
Does NBA Live 2005 have online capabilities? That would be something of a consolation

Yeah i know. Da whole things a scandal. Go on www.espnvideogames.com and go to espn nba 2k5 message board and click on the thread about europe (PAL) and you'll see other comments by angry europeans.
Like you, some other peeps are considering getting live for online purposes and that they actually care about the PAL region.

I understand what they feel like, I had been looking forward to playing ESPN online for a few months, even more so than PES4. Oh, well, thanks for telling me, thats one thing i can knock off the 'wanted list' Christmas or post-xmas
Looking on the bright side, I suppose at least ill have a copy this Christmas to play on, even though minus Live access
I think I will get NBA Live now, even though I hadn't intended to for online purposes, but I don't think I have much other choice now for a decent online Basketball game.

Do you know if they have given any actual reason for no xbox live access for Europeans? I read all those posts on the messageboard earlier, someone posted the apparent reason all in Italian so I still have no idea over the bizarre condition.

That italian post has become annoying now because it takes up half of the replies. It is just randomly repeated for no apparent reason by different peeps. And no Take two and Sega have not officialy said anything about the PAL REGION except that it will be here at some time. I dont think theres a specific date. On the gamestation website I found both XBOX and PS2 copies of ESPN NBA 2005 which were supposed to have been released on the 1st of NOvember.

Japan-only 2005 installment in Konami's NBA Starting Five basketball series. This year's edition uses updated rosters from the 2004/2005 season, as well as more than 200 officially licensed NBA players. There are also six classic teams from 1983/1984 and five others from between 1950 and 1990. The game also adds new control tailored for the dual stick setup, with the right stick allowing players to pull off dribbles and feints and the like. Improvements over the previous year include upgraded graphics, new motion captured animations, and better AI.

NBA Starting 5 2005 looks/sounds pretty damn impressive. Do you know if the series is set for release in Europe or USA at a later date?

It would be a shame if they didn't release it in Europe and the US, as although NBA Basketball's popularity is on the increase in Asia, they would be missing much of the market if it doesn't get a release in the West. Hopefully I will get hold of a copy, even it is in Japanese. Some of the animations, in particular those of LeBron James and Allen Iversen look fantastic.

Dont u think konami will make the game kind of dull because in pes4 the musiks crap and there aint loads of lights flashin everywhere like in nba 2005. Do u think the commentry will be any gud . i dont.
