4-5-1
defenders high defence, 2 DMFs high defence, 1 OMF in front of them low defence, 2 OMF on the wings low defence, and 1 CF low defence. thats how i always play anway, mostly on the counter attack mode and zone pressing...

Anyone got a good formation for pes3 to play agianst human players?
depends on your way of play and your opponent's formation. Start with 4*3*3 A or B and play around with them in players positions. Personaly, I like to have three men at the front, very effective in counter attacks. There is another thread here that has some nice offensive and balanced formations by jMz. Check it out.

yea observer s right, it ll have to denpend on your opponents formation. I like wing play, so i ll play diamond then i pull my left and right wingers to the most left and right, and set my play as wing play, then my wingers would always be at the extreme sides and its a lot easier to run down the flanks...(provided u have fast wingers) :p

I agree with nwl89, for some reason it's always much easier to keep the play on the wings when playing friends. When I try to play through the middle I always tend to get stuck. So I'd say 4-4-2 with offensive side backs, playing them high up with attacking arrows, doing one-two's with the side midfielders and then going all the way down for a cross. Using this tactic you'd probably want to use a team with forwards who are strong in the air.

you have to find the most balanced formation and 4-4-2 is the best one against very high level players as you have a very good defence which is the most important thing...

I play with 4-3-3 and I have offensive sidebacks. I usually put my centre forward in the front and the wingers play a bit behind him. Although they are in the wings not in the centre. Depending on the player I put my CMF to play just behind the forwards or then I put him play a little more defensive position and the SMF's play in front of him. Usually I have Phillip Cocu as my CMF.

I think that you have to find a formation that fits your style of play. 4-3-3 is the most correct for me.

If I am insisting on winning I will only play the 3-4-3 formation.
Otherwise if I am only after nice goals and more of using in-game tricks/moves I will use either 3-6-1 or 4-4-2. Since both allow you to do more Thru' Lobs and Fast crossing [ Using Double TAB while on sides ]
