Need help with jayjays ripkit? I think i have it right???

Am i doing everthing right here?

Im using jayjays ripkit and jb8/3 anyripkit patch for we7I(jap ver)
First make a folder (WE7I) and open isobuster, extract all files
from dvd except DATA_X.afs so i left in DATA_E.afs for english then
copied all files from jayjay's rip kit into the same folder. Then i change the
splm_654.98 to 97 inc. notepad. Then i double click WE7 E.bat and it make's
an .iso file 627mb.

I open the .iso with cdmadge, extract the DATA_E.afs, leave CDM open.
Open ppfomatic and apply jb8/3 we7i to dataEafs.ppf to my extracted
dataE.afs and then apply the fix.

Then import the patched DATA_E.afs by right clicking on the original and
import and replace jayjay's over.afs and splm_654.97

And burn with cdrwin record an ISO9660/UDF image file.
I load the .iso file and set.....MODE2/CDROM-XA and make sure finalize/close session/write postgap are ticked and press start!!!!

I burned about 15 cd's trying it and nothing

Have you got an unpatched version to work?

Your problem more than likely lies with errors. If you import a file into an image using CDMAGE then you will more than likely get errors in the image. If you use my Ripkit, then you can replace the original DATA_E.AFS in the folder with your patched one and run WE7I_E.BAT. If the DATA_E.AFS in the folder is the one that you patched, then basically just run WE7I_E.BAT. This will create a new image containing your patched DATA_E.AFS, without errors. This will save you a lot of time.

I tried a few times without the patch but still nothing.
I burned with cdrwin and i even tried to burn with nero 6
after i saved the .iso to .bin/.cue file.

Do you have to saveas mode 2 with cdrwin?

I'll try again with better cd-r's....im using cheap one's at the moment.

ah, I see where your problem is now. You haven't removed the DVD checks. Use the konsoleforce Ripkit by Froxx before you use my ripkit. This is the case if you are using the DVD as your source.

I have the KF ripkit but didnt use it yet. Can u please explain a bit?

Playstation 2 games are either DVD or CD. The game contains values for which media it is intended to be mastered on. What this means is that a DVD game will only boot on DVD and CD game will only boot on CD, well at least that is what $ony planned! So to boot a DVD game on CD you need to change these values. The FROXX Ripkit will patch your files so that they are intended to be mastered on a CD. I suggest you use the Froxx ripkit to make an image that will work on CD. The FROXX kit has an English NO-MOD option so you should select that. Then you can use CDMAGE to import your patched files and don't forget to scan for corruption and repair damaged sectors

I know what you mean now! I tried that before with KFripkit but when i select
NO-MOD English, it won't create an .iso file. If i choose jap it works fine?
Do u just follow the guide here/evo-web on How to create a cdrip from we7i?
Extract all the dvd files with isobuster except dummy.bin and KF files into the
same folder. Open KF program and choose NO_MOD English and that should create
an .iso file cdrip?

if the no mod doesn't work then choose any language that works for u. Then extract all the files from the image it creates to a folder. Excluding the DATA_X.AFS files and DUMMY.BIN. You see, the dvd checks will have been patched in the other files. Now place the contents of my ripkit and your patched DATA_E.AFS into this folder. Run WE7I_E.BAT and you will then have a patched cd iso.

Iv done everthing right but still can't get it.....i used KFripkit and chose ENglish.
Then i patched it and used your ripkit and i got an .iso 624mb using cdrwin!

I know i have everthing right. I think i might be burning it wrong!

What program did you use?

You should use CDR win and burn at 1x or Nero at 4x

You shouldnt have 2 burning programs on your PC they can get a conflict which eachother. So use one.
Scully are you working with cue files?? If yes, open your cue file in wordpad at look if the cue file is pointing to right BIN. Maybe its still pointing to wrong unpatched bin.
Personally I dont really care about the burning program as long as it supports BIN formats, I used CDRwin, ALcohol, CDmate and Nero at different speed (1x 2x.... 8x) and it all worked right, so I dont think the problem is at the burning program.

I know my ripkit works for no-modding the PIMP RLS. I have had a lot of people saying that it doesn't work when ripping from DVD. I will remake the kit and ensure it is correct and working.

Tried that jag87 but nothing! If i burn with anything, it reads as 627mb which should
work!
I don't know what the problem is because iv done it all right!
It has to be when burning but it seems to burn alright so when i swap
the disc's, the writing goes red. When i choose special boot, nothing happens!

Ill try better cd-r's and see, but after that i give up!!!!!!!!!
