Ive followed the instructions for patching, now all i have to do is burn the Image to DVD-R, and im having problem with it.

1. I insert the DVD-R (Mr.Magic DVD, 4x, 4.7gb) into my CD-R Drive, then i open up Nero Burning Rom, when this box appears, i click cancel.

Then i click Recorder >> Burn Image

Then i select the ISO Image, then i change the Speed to 2x, then click OK.

Then this appears

I tried it again but but inserting the disc into my DVD Drive, and the same thing happened.

Heres what happen'a when i use Alcohol120%

I click on Image Burn Wizard.

Then select the Image File, and press Next.

This happen's

...again, i tried this with both my DVD Drive & CD-R Drive.

Somebody please help me, i appreciate it.

Thanks.

Sounds a silly question but you do have a DVD burner?

The reason I ask is because on one of those pictures it says CD-RW waiting for disc and nowhere else does it mention you selecting a DVD burner, also at the start of this thread you said "put the disk in my CD-R".

To be honest those DVD drives don't look like burners to me =/. A DVD burner would be DVD-RW Drive (or DVD-RAM) wouldn't it?
I also noticed that in Nero, you're burning it as a CD. I can tell because on 2x it's only at 300kb/sec. On a DVD burner it would be 2500kb/sec (I think).
Now I've never used Alcohol 120% so I don't know what's wrong there, but it seems like you don't have a DVD burner to begin with so that could be the problem.

No mate. You can play DVD's but you can't burn them on those two. Your CD-RW drive has RW on the end of it meaning you can burn to CD-R media.

Your DVD drives look like straight forward DVD drives that can play DVD movies and nothing else worth while.

You need a DVD burner!

Problem solved.

On what system and is it chipped? Otherwise you are going to get into a whole load of problems about getting your console chipped etc.

It would be a lot less hassle just to buy a DVD burner. They cost next to nothing for a normal, single layer DVD-burner these days. If you are willing to shell out a few extra quid you can get yourself a dual layer DVD burner. Then you will have a DVD burner for making back-ups of films etc.

I'm not sure about the compatability on PS2's but I know with my Xbox I can only use CD-RW's not CD-R's.

CD-RW's have a deeper layer to burn to than CD-R's and sort of fool my Xbox into thinking they are DVD's.

If you was going to try this then burn it to a CD-RW. I wouldn't keep your fingers crossed though because Sony made it a bitch to even read decent DVD-R media.

You keep asking the same questions both here and at evo-web. Why quote the evo-web thread I posted when I posted the same thing here too? Do you think I didn't post it here?

And ONE Young GE questions thread would be in order, instead of one for each problem that you get.

Thought I'd bring back this thread since I'm having the same trouble. However I do have a DVD-RW Drive (E: ) so as far as I'm aware I can burn DVD's using it.

My Alcohol 120% says exactly the same thing when I attempt to burn the Standard ISO Image file. It says No Disc therefore I can't burn it. Help would be greatly appreciated, I've used the JayZ123 patch if anyone is wondering and I've applied it accordingly.
