those of you who have an xbox, you can download a software program called xbconnect. then connect your xbox to your pc and you will be able to play online with your xbox for free. so i'll probably get the xbox version along with an adaptor which allows u to set up ya ps2 pad on there

i have bought pro evo for the pc and is it online does anyone know?

Well for those of you getting the Xbox 360 (not the core system) like myself, you'll have instant XB Live Silver access anyway. Sorted!

I have pro evo 4 on pc and yes it's online so im guessing 5 will be also. But you have to download a launcher on the internet (try google), and on it you have lists of people online who you can chat to and play. There are also ladders, leagues and cups etc. I rarely play it though as i have a poor quality grafics card.

Well i believe there will not be a network fee regardless of what the manual says if you check on pesfan they have online pics and they said registration was quick and easy.

Really? I thought it would be charged.

What about the broadband ISPs - do they charge for PS2/XboX online?

And one final question; which retail shops sell the PS2 Network Adapter?

Is the alleged fee just for the PS2 version? As we didn't have to pay to play PES4 online on the SEXbox.

Thres no fee for the xbox, but obvously you have to pay for xbox live.

You don't have to pay for ps2 online just your normal internet payment (i emailed my service provider before i got online). The games developers can charge a seperate fee for there online games (what this thread was about).

I think a lot of shops are sold out of the network adapter. I got mine about 2 months ago from an online shop i can't remember the name. Just type in ps2 network adapter on froogle.

The point is though, will PES5 online be free or will there be an extra subscription charge (after the ISP subscription charge)?

i believe there isn't a fee, well no talk of one has been said by pesfan or pesinsight so i guess it's all good. I don't mind paying 3 or 4 quid though. Just imagine all the fun and time pes5 online will take up well worth 3 or 4 quid i say!

I believe if there is a fee it would be a one off payment. Considering what Ea have done with the 1.50 fee.

I know my ISP says i will need to upgrade my broadband connection as at the mo its only suitable for emails and stuff. I was told its still just the standard network broadband charge but some games do charge a small fee. I figure If it's a monthly charge of £22 for broadband capability for my ps2 and £3-4 month subscription say for connection to the pes game i think i'll be joining up. I'm probably going to wait until November/December to get upgraded though.

It won't be a subscription mate i haven't had to pay for any of my ps2 online games yet so i doubt they will start now considering they are concentrating on ps3. Anyone who wants to play me on pes5(ps2) my game handle will probs be lees75. See you next week hopefully 19th or 20th.

I should be gettin a net adaptor tommorow so im deffo up for a game/s...since you already have it, what's the lag like with your other games? O ye what's a game handle and what's lees75?

Lees75 Will probs be my name on pro evo. You register the first time you go online with a game unless it's made by ea then all the ea games are linked and you can use the same login. A game handle is just your username.

Timesplitters and killzone have no lag at all. Fifa 06 has a little lag but is playable. Most games work fine and i only have a 512 internet connection and it's fine.
