If it's true then I'm quite disappointed that there was no mention of changing the Master League system. No Bayern Munich either :/

I've read in a couple of different sites that Konami have indeed acquired the UEFA License -and- WILL be including the Champions League in future games.

What remains to be seen, is IF Konami have included the Champions League in PES09. And it's also been said that future versions of PES (2010) will have plenty of Licensed teams because of the UEFA License.

Hope it turns out to be true, I personally think it's true.. But honestly, my MAIN concern is the GAMEPLAY -something- that was barely mentioned in the interview.. disappointing to say the least.

I think that interview is NOT reliable -because- surely after PES08, most interviews will focus on the Gameplay (and Edit Mode) of PES09 -rather- then on the Licenses, or the Online Lag, etc, etc.. Konami knows most of their fans are in it for the Gameplay.

I'm guessing since it was only a promo copy, then Konami may not have implemented the Champions League license into the game yet as they've only recently got it, that's my theory anyway.

If this is true, I probably won't buy it. Seriously, do these guys making PES actually bother? Do they care? You would have thought after the disappointment of PES 2008, that they were going to really go for it this time, make a top football game, that would really use the strengths of the next generation consoles. Evidently not.

I was about 80% sure that there will be a champions league mode. I can't believe that it won't be in the game. I just can't believe it.

This info sounds false to me, somehow I dont believe it. The master league not improving? No bayern munich? Same gameplay as PES2008? You can tackle Messi if the time is right??(Even in PES2008 you can!) And what is it with diving improved? Seabass said himself that the diving thing wouldnt worked unless it is a right moment and try so that the diving he put in there wouldnt spoil the game(does this sounds that diving need more improvement?) Be A Legend mode sounds interesting though. Also Konami said that there will be a license that changed the image of the game completely, didnt see it in the interview. No word on cover stars? I thought the graphic did improved(you can even see the muscle now), that should be noticeable. And new modes that Seabass promised should be highlighted in the interview, but no word whatsoever.

Some of the info are believable but I thought the overall thing is just ridiculous. Hope Konami give us news soon.

In fairness the player cam was introduced on Pro a while back with the ability to play as one player.

Certainly not ripped off from Fifa.

i dont think all of it is true.. im thinking that the champions league will be a cup.. not a mode?? like something in master league.. and then mention zenit st petersberg and arshavin improving.. well hes most probably moving to an english side.. also why take bayern munich out of it when theres teams that are less known and not much help to play with.. shooting is differant.. they may change that but i dont think itll be a vast change.. tbh i dont really believe that. but legend thing would be good.. but bit dissapointing not being a defender.. i understand keeper.. coz would be a whole differant controll system.. but defenders should be in it..

with regards to no questions being asked about the gameplay, edit etc, i am not a reporter, it is not a "professional, official" interview. that much should be obvious really. it is just a bunch of questions i wanted to know the answers to, i dont edit the players as i only play online so didnt even think about it lol.

and gameplay? i thought i did? i asked about refs, goalies (MY 2 main gripes on pes2008), and whether or not gameplay resembled pes6 or 2008, the answer was more like 2008. Its very difficult to describe gameplay tbh

it was not the intention of this to be leaked all over the net, so sorry if i didnt get all the info that everyone wants, like i say, i'm not a professional.
