I think Lami was referring to the fact that Tom was running away with the poll and it seemed he was going to be the next Off-topic mod, but instead someone who wasn't on the shortlist was chosen.

Exactly. Now i seriously don't understand whats going on, i don't want to. Thank God i didnt become a mod because i never wanted to be. I never even thought my name would be listed, but hey, it was, and managed to get 13 votes lol. Living freely is a gift. Hard luck Tom Pain. Congrats Gollan.

So you chose someone who didn't want to be a mod and made them a mod? I didn't get all those votes because I'm a power greedy arsehole. You asked for people to sign up so I did. It's not like I asked to me a mod out of nowhere because I wanted the power. I put my name down because I thought I contribute well as a moderator.

Why would anyone want to be a mod/admin will always be beyond me. My short exerience in life has taught me:
a. Never volunteer to do anything - you'll be forced to do it eventually
b. There is always someone who's crazier than you - so don't pick fights
c. There are no free lunches
d. Chics that talk dirty aren't always easy to score with

So obviously there is no reason to become a mod/admin, is there?
