To download these patches do you need to go online with your ps2 or is there some kind of device where u can plug your memory card into the pc and then download the patches from the internet?

Sorry if this question has allready been asked its just theres so many pages to look back through now.

No, you don't need PS2 Online. You simply go online (via your computer), download the patch, apply it using ppf-o-matic to a bin file of the chosen game. Then proceed to burn the disk to play the patched version. Enjoy.

Me again. Got some more questions.

1. Can you take those long range shots where the players standing leg is in the air slightly while the kicking leg hits the ball with extreme power? (I'm pretty sure that this was in PES1, ISS Pro Evolution 1 and ISS Pro Evolution 2 but not present in PES2)

2. Do players actually control the ball properly after running without the ball and then picking it up and dribble properly? (I think this was a bug in PES2 when sometimes if you ran without the ball and then tried to run with it straight away, they would sometimes leave the ball behind)

3. What's happened to the Umbro Pro Training Centre? Has it been renamed or what?

1.) All I got was bicycle kick from your description. If so, not really, but there is something similar to what you said, in PES3. When the ball is at about knee height, if you press the shoot button, your player will do a shot animation where his shooting leg is outstretched to get the ball and his back leg bent in the air. It usually only happens near the goal-mouth.

2.) Yes.

3.) Yep, it's there. Umbro aren't involved in PES3 hence the name change. You'll find that PES3's training is a vast improvement to what was found in PES2.

The best place to try is local independent game stores mate, they usually sell them as soon as they get them in stock.

This happened with a couple of people i know they got it a week earlier by buying from an indepedent game shop, i also got MGS2 a few days earlier. I think the indp shops know they'll make more money because nowhere else will have it out.

Does anybody know who the referees translate to in real life? I desperatley want to know which one Collina is!!! If they aren't based on real-life referees does anyone know which are the strictist and which are the most lenient?

Collina isn't in the game. At least his name isn't in the ref list. There may be one that looks like him but I haven't seen one so far.

No way to know yet which ref is strict. All you see is their name. It may be that some are more strict or it could also be that the option is just to change the name so that the ref looks different only with strictness being unaffected.

Did you ring Game and they said it was out of stock? Or was an independant game shop? Sorry if i sound like a simpleton but i suppose i could do worse than camp outside Game for a few days if it was them that said there were out of stock.

vital question about pes3

I have a very important question about pes3:
is it possible 2 play an entire season alone playing several-if not all- teams and not a stupid round robin mode? And will it also be possible to play a real champions' league with home & away games 1/8 finals etc..?

You can play a club league season, yes.
You could play a champions league mode in PES2 so it should be possible in PES3 too. Not sure about the number of teams yet so I will go check.

But on pes2 u can't play any home & away games in the groupe league mode... no? I mean not in ML mode but in Konami-umbro cup.. And wht I want most of all is to be able to play all teams, choosing from game to game in the player settings which team to play

I had a look and I don't think you can play 2 legs for the Konami cup.
All national teams have 23 players and the club team numbers vary.
