hmm not as good as fifas but still a good ad

Yh FIFA always have amazing ads.

I like this one because they have Torres and Messi heading/shooting the ball and then they change into ordinary people. You know what I mean:rolleyes:

It really shows how Konami/The Players/and the fans are all a major part of PES2010. :) Can't wait for the game!

is it me or do the players run weird?? it doesn't look natural

Nahh... you're spot on! ;o)
The graphics in PES this year are good (I won't even say great) - but the animations are utter rubbish!!! Actually - the animations (or rather lack of) - are one of the major reasons I'm personally not falling head over heels over this game. I've started to really like the WE demo - I now prefer it over the FIFA demo - which for me says something.
But I really don't like the animations. They are old (some of them have been in the PES-franchise since ISS Pro Evo1 on the PS1!!!??!), they are "klonky" and really not in any way seamlessly fluid into one another...
It's not that nice to look at in motion I'm affraid.
If you'd compare it to FIFA - then FIFA's animations are far superior - and as a spectator the FIFA game is a joy just to watch. Not so with PES. Sad, since it used to be the other way around!
I remember back when ISS Pro Evo came out for the first time, when we would gather 8-10 friends to play a couple of "round robins" all night. When two players were playing - the other 8 were litterally glued to the screen, because it was such a joy to watch, and back then, such a "realistic" reproduction of the real game, that even if you didn't play yourself, you couldn't take your eyes off the screen...
Ufortunately I personally think that when it comes to looks and animations, then FIFA has that spectator egde now. PES is not beautiful to look at right now.
I have my camera settings to "wide" and I usually skip the cutscenes - so I personally don't notice Torres' lifelike freckles or how lifelike Messi looks up close... I pay more attention to how they move and collide with eachother - which doesn't look realistic at all.
My oppinion of cause. ;o)

Top post agree with all of that.

Like i said in a different thread Konami are a few animations away from creating a fantastic game. As it stands i think the game is better than Fifa so if these ''klonky'' animations were changed with some more free-flowing Fifa ones then this game would be touching on greatness..

Obviously it is to much to expect Konami to change the animations in what 2 weeks?! But if they can add a little extra to the gameplay and focus on th main issue ANIMATIONS! then PES 2011 will be immense. But still i will be happy with the PES 10 animations.

Animations arnt really a huge issue for me really but it would be a nice touch to finally get rid of the old-gen ones once and for all.

Nice advert.

Am I the only one who feels that Del Piero always looks the best suited to adverts like these? Not sure why, just every time I see him he looks perfectly in his element and right for the job.

why doesn't Liverpool have the correct kit? o0

im guessing its because carlsberg is an alcohol. Celtic never have Carling on their strip for the same reason

i love despite the fact Fifa is better known, that Konami can still deliver us Champions league/Europa, Torres, Messi and the surprise of del piero.

If the online play is sorted then people won't really care as much about animations. Although i admit i'm all in favour of getting the little things sorted, its the game play i'm interested in

From that advert im happy enough. I just wish Konami would keep up with fifa in regards on when to release the game :(

Think it must be his flowing locks and chiseled good looks ;)

He def looks the most natural of the three.

Hmmmm, they really shudnt be realeasing ad's in my opinion, both fifa and pes look awful in the ads and make you say" i thought it looked better then that". fact is the games will be good but the ad's are usually nonsense..

The advert is sound enough. I prefer it to the FIFA 10 one. Great to see Del Piero in there, along with Torres and Messi.

Let's just hope the game delivers.

yeah the animations do let the depth of the gameplay down but that's the only problem if u ask me, but too bad its a very noticeable one.
