Hey all great site - this is my 1st post here.

I want to know if anyone else has experienced their players making inexplicable errors in dangerous situations - and often in contrast to what you're doing on the controls. For instance...

I have Roy Keane in my penalty area defending a cross but despite me telling him to head the ball out of the area - he heads it towards my goals for a simple tap-in by an opposition striker.

In the same match I had 2 cpu-controlled players (in my team) foul an opposition player in a dangerous area - even though I'm controlling another player. On one of those occasions my opponents scored from the free-kick.

It's something I've noticed since I've gone up to **** level. It's almost as if my players are deliberately making mistakes to allow my opponents to create a chance.

Has anyone else experienced this - please tell me I'm not imagining it - cos it's kinda freaking me out a little.

Yeah and to add on to that, if you sent your keeper out to block shots or anything, if he exits the penalty area, he'll probably slide the player with the ball straightaway.

50% of the tim this results in fouls.

Yeah, The more stars you go up the more bad luck you seem to get, I always get an inevitable feeling when breaks just always seem to go the computers way and it frustrates the life out of me. I play well the whole match, create loads of chance then lose to a free kick in the last minute!!! The computer team always seems to try harder when they go a goal behind :rolleyes:

I think so.

And they'll be lying back when they're ahead I guess.

The spaces were for the Elite/All-star teams but they took them out of the game and left the spaces in maybe.

Nope - I'm convinced of this now. The human team is definitely weakened somewhat when you go up to 4 stars. I'm not complaining(although I was last night) - just making an observation.
It's a pity - coz it goes a long way toward ruining the game for me. I still end up winning and drawing more than I lose, but it's sad for me that in order to make the CPU teams better, the human team is disadvantaged. Why not just make the CPU team pass better, make better runs or defend better? Wouldn't that have been the obvious thing to do?
Another thing I noticed is that my players stop responding to my input on the controller. Weird. A loose ball in the opponents penalty area is stared at by Crespo - even though I telling him to go for it.
As I said - it's a big pity for me. Coz up untill 3 stars it was the best sports game I've ever played.

Perhaps try using the "super-cancel" controls - where you hold both R1+R2 to give you free control of a player. This could help to move him when he doesn't want to.

I play on 5* and I think I'm used the the small ways that the game cheats in now. I rarely lose so it may just take a bit of getting used to. There do appear to be limits to how good the AI can play and I'm no expert on that so....

Edit a club player and change all his stats to make him 'become' Reyes and then do a club-to-club transfer.

Happen to download the mega patch PES3 (PC). This may sound stupid but I Can't figure how to install it. Tried following the instructions but it just couldn't make sense . Could someone help and explain in detail as to how to apply wendetta patch for PES3 (PC). Thanx a million & sorry for being such a bummer.
