New Player: Growth Curves vs Original Attributes

When creating a new player for inclusion in ML, you are allowed to select the growth type of the player (standard, early peak, etc). It's great to have this option, but it also raises the question of how the curve (in general) impacts the edited attributes of the player.

For example, I am creating a 17 year old with baseline attributes (Attack = 85, Speed = 79, Agility = 81 and so on).

Are the above attributes considered by the game to be:

- peak values (thus reached at the height of this career)?

- starting values (meaning the original values will be significantly surpassed in later years- perhaps in my example Attack may peak in the 90s)?

- something inbetween?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Yep, they're starting stats.

The "mental" stats (Attack, Defense, Mentality, Teamwork) seem to have the biggest impact on the height of a player's overall curve, in my experience.

Thanks for the answers, ppl. It would be sweet to know what the peaks would be. I guess I will know in a few months :).

Also keep in mind that a few stats would not improve and would stay static thourghout their whole carear...
mentality, agility, and a few others.
