Welcome to the revolution mate.
PES4 is the best football game out there at the moment but PES5 is on the way.
By the sounds of it, seems like PES5 will be a bit slower and more methodical.
My advice would be to pick up a 2nd hand copy of PES4 somewhere and see how you find it and then when PES5 comes out you could go for it. You'd then be able to see which one you like most.
Then trade the other one in for something else.

yea thats a good idea ^^^^^ or just try and borrow a mates copy till pes5 comes out. i know i dont really play pes4 that much now cos i'm too excited about 5 being released! you could always just wait till 5 comes out and get that, becasue from the sound of it they're too totally different animals!

I'm a PES addict and have been since the first series..
If your looking for a real insight and have never played it fully try getting a second hand copy of PES4 or better still if you can afford it pes4 is available on platinum ..so you could get a copy for £15 anyways! you should find it in the argos catalogue.. and most games mags advertising at virgin or hmv..
with the review of pes5 just done.. it does sound like its gonna be another monster to conquer as the game plan from the cpu ai is supposed to be alot better.. so i wouldnt suggest paying full whack for a copy of pes4 when the new one is out in 35 days time from now..
anyways.. a very warm welcome to pes and the pes insight forum.. i'd send you my copies but i love them too much to send them anywhere..

I think the idea of buying Pro Evo 4 from play for £9.99 (delivered) is a good idea, if you can be fussed getting it online im sure you will be able to pick it up second hand for a tenner or there abouts. From what it sounds, Pro Evo 5 is going to be definately more of a game that Pro Evo 4 but also a little bit more complicated if you dont have a pro evo back ground. so for a small chunk of change grab Pro Evo 4, play it to death, see if you like it and if you do, move on to Pro Evo 5. that way there is a lot less risk of blowing £30 on a game you wont enjoy.
That said ive been playing pro evo/iss since it was released back on the old Nintendos and never felt the need to touch fifa since i got a free copy of Road to World Cup back in 97, as have many people from what i gather from the posts on here, so there shouldnt be to much risk of you not enjoying it.

I say: gotta agree.. although.. no one mentioned the risks and hazards of him becoming highly addicted to the game.. or maybe thats just me thats a confessed addict..
