Newbie Question: is PES4 = WE8 ?

Sorry if this sounds totally newbie-like... is Winning Eleven 8 the same as Pro Evolution Soccer 4 ?

How can we know ? No one has those games.
Generally they were always different, not only linguistic, because that´s obvious, but WE had also always a more realistic gameplay and some features which PES didn´t have (eg 2 balls, more shoes, Allstar-teams etc.)

ok what i meant was if WE is the same game as PES...i thought WE is the japanese title for it maybe or something....

Well yes and no. It's almost the same game, pes is based on WE but usually tweaked (for better or worse sometimes) but they pretty much change things for the European market.

Maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to choose a language in WE series or is it all in Japanese?

All straight WE games so far have been only in Japanese.
WE7:IJ had a language choice.
