Newbie Question on downloads

Hi all,

I'm very new to PES (PES5 specifically) and i'm having a hard time understanding the types of downloads I can get for the game.

First of all, what is a kitserver, exactly?

Secondly, what is an option file?

I'm not new to game modding, but i've never heard these terms before. Honestly, from a newbie standpoint, PES seems rather complicated to mod - most games just have files like "playerfaces.bin", "uniforms.dat" etc you use a utility to add and subtract to, but PES seems totally unique in the way it's modded.

Also, I have PowerPatch 2.1 installed but I was wondering, can I install more stuff I get from here or will that screw up the game?

Any help or a link which can help explain PES's modding terminology/structure would be great, thanks.

Anyway back on topic, can't help you with modding much but an option file is where all the stuff e.g. in-game editing is stored when you start the game. You can download them with all correct kits, badges etc.

Anyway hope this helps a bit, and welcome :)

Thanks ;)

So from what I can see, an Option file is kinda like a "roster" file for most other sport games? It holds player names, ratings, team names etc, plus where to look for texture data?

And, i'm having a guess here, but the Kitserver folder hosts the actual texture data, and a "Kitserver" as a program allows you to add to that folder?
