And why is it impossible to catch up an attacker once he goes past you even if he only has 2m advantage and hes slow, someone without the ball is much faster , I mean catch up bug was ridicilous in PES 2011 but now they went into another extreme again.

Whilst trawling through site after site this morning looking for a PC demo I noticed that a command list is available for 2012. I didn't download it but regret so now.

Does anyone know where one may be available?

Little improvements? They've changed keepers to an extent. They've added the player movement system, arguably the best thing added to a football game in a long time and which is a big addition. MLO is likely improved. Different speed to the game. Tweaked passing. Tweaked shooting. Many other tweaks. Overall there's not much more they can do right now, they've added big improvements this year, cant see why there's a need to complain.

Calm down... I was just saying if they didnt release every year they could do better. Yeah it is good, but there are areas that could be better. This is in no way the perfect football game yet.

I don't think il be buying pes 2012 from what ive seen, I don't like it at all.

They can talk about improvements all they want but what does it matter if they improve some parts if they ruin other ones.

The close control in this game ruins everything for me, its not even world class players its defenders running when I hold sprint and keeping the ball glued to their feet even more than Messi does in real life come on wtf is that? And im limited to that close control also, if I want to push the ball to the side to open space for a shot I can't, why? because if I press sprint and change the direction to the side ( in older PES games the ball would be pushed a bit further out ) the player still keeps the ball GLUED to his freaking foot all the time, its SO unrealistic and it ruins everything for me, I don't care what other things look like this is unacceptable and I can't enjoy a game like this.

you played FIFA mate ? or are you trolling

game seems good but will have to wait till the finished product to say anything

Trolling?

Erm, not sure what that is, but I have played the Fifa demo and its horrible. Very predictable, far too easy to score spectacular goals and not very challenging.

Ok so what will you play? FIFA 11.5 with players that are too big for the pitch and let you only score boring wooden goals that are all the same? Suppose FIFA has all the licences and realistic animations if that's what floats your boat...

quick question for those of you with the new demo and who played the 1st WE demo from the Japan store. Is this PES demo better than the original WE demo?

Yeah but the older one was also flawed, what if you didn't want to push the ball a little bit further? This is where PES and FIFA need to innovate, use the fucking L1 button, L1 button for passing and shooting, L1 button for pushing the ball a little further in order to pass or shot, problem solved.....

However, if you expect that simply directing the left analog stick in different directions without the assistance of any other button, should be enough to determine subtle touches on the ball, then you have little idea of what you're talking about.

Honestly, I'm tired of hearing the WENB guys hipping a game up, when in truth, the game is just a completely ordinary yearly tweak. Konami and EA Sports need to do more, not just improve the LOOK and FEEL of the animations, but actually improve how the animations actually work.

The classic formula of directing the left analog stick without the assistance of any other button, and the left analog stick determining countless unrelated factors such as -- the direction that the ball carrier is looking at, distance covered on the pitch (without the assistance of the sprint button), the direction in which the ball carrier runs through space, the direction of passing, the direction of shooting -- is fundamentally flawed and should have been replaced by now.

When the left analog stick determines so many different and unrelated factors without the assistance of any other button, it limits the animations that can be implemented into the game, it limits the freedom and control that you have as a gamer, it limits the player individuality, etc, etc.

First impressions are really good.
The pace of the match is a lot truer.
I think the stand up tackle is to ineffective though. When your defending and tracking one of there players and using pressure button to close the man down with the ball is also to ineffective for me,as the AI just usually just skip past you . Ball control seems to have been toned down and is a lot more believable.Shooting seems excellent.

Just played a few games on top player and despite getting hammered first 2 matches i can see once you get over the learning curve and try to rid your habits of previous pes,i can see 2012 being a great game.I think the first 2 games i was still playing how i played 2011 overplaying the ball and forgetting now i can actually get my players to open up his legs and lose the defender when they get behind the defense. Finally i am now looking forward to release date.

I agree with what you said but KONAMI is not capable of doing that sadly, I realized that long ago.

So I would at the very least like how it was before, to be limited in pushing it a bit more, since thats what I need in 90% of those situations. oh well...

:erm:
Again the cursor name issue.
I don't like the name above the players!, and when you turn it off, is only in your players, but CPU still have it

I like the Player Info Bar better...

Its funny how people were arguing about the game being assisted too much, but its the same this year just the new things.

They only fixed the old ones that people complained about, KONAMI is clueless really.

For example the new speed burst, you press R1+R2 and thats it, you burst past a player, THE DIRECTION, THE SPEED, HOW MUCH THE BALL GOES FORWARD, its all assisted you have no control over it.

i'm at work and won't get off till 5pm, can anyone confirm that manual ball control is now completely manual and not even CPU semi-assisted?

Thanks,

Obviously some people will always have a moan, that's life, people are different, some will love this, some will dislike it.

Had a mental game earlier with the Copa teams. Managed to go 3-1 up and then suddenly America grab one back and just erupt with crazy AI pressure and unlike previous games, the AI is on me like a rash as I try to play the possesion game. Cant keep the ball and they get another. They're feeling they can win it and in the final minute...they do! Brilliant AI system, just brilliant.

Wondering, how is everybody getting on with the player movement system? You using it on automatic or manual? I'm on auto as I'm trying to get to grips with it before trying it on manual. Going to take a while to really get the hang of it, but man it's amazing.

defending is a joy in this game! You can't do it like FIFA or old PES games, you have to actually understand and know what you're doing. When you figure out and get good with the defensive players switching using the right stick you feel like you're controlling the whole defense, closing up space. Instead of just playing D on the ball with your defender and your help player you actually control the whole field. Takes getting used to but once it clicks its fun as hell! This PES it will be crucial to know how to defend, those online bums that run with Messi or Ronaldo are in for a rude awakening if they don't figure this out because once you stop them your counter attacks will be leathal if they don't know what they're doing on the defensive end of the ball.

a bit too brilliant, if you don't concentrate you could get a real beat down from the CPU this year! ;)
