Thats coz Xbox released their console too soon and we all know the PS3 will sell far more units than the XBOX 360.

Really? At £425 ish how many parents will buy them for their kids?

Cant see the paperboy jobs covering it either......

I doubt it. Many gamers now are flocking for an Xbox 360. By the time the (very very expensive) PS3 comes out (rumoured to be delayed until early 2007), Microsoft will probbaly just drop the price a bit, or come with some nice bundles. Why buy a PS3 when you can a Xbox 360 plus some game(s), plus many of the release titles will probably be budget-priced by then!?

Personally, I'm still having lots of fun out of my 'old' Xbox, which has grown into my favourite console EVER, and right now I say I'll be going for a 360 as soon as it drops in price. I'm not all that interested in it at the moment though. Gonna wait and see what happens with Blue Dragon and other 'big' games. I dont give a fuck about the Halo series, but Ninja Gaiden en Forza and obviously Pro Evo will be big deciders.

As for the coming next gen PES game: I just hope that it will have more licenses, better gameplay, a better replayfunction and more then the current 36 save-spaces, and other stuff like improved penalties and such...
But let's be honest, even if it looks slightly better and plays slightly better, most of us are just gonna buy it anyway. It's repeatedly one of the best and most fun games of the year. The Xbox 360 pad should be absolutely perfect for playing the game...

With the price at 425 pounds I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

what are the chances of that being in game footage though?? cos most adverts for 360 says in small letters at ther bottom of the screen not in-game footage

But in those pics you cannot see these small letters saying not ingame graphics. I think the are ingame, but tha the 3D mesh will be more complete depending on how far is the camera from the object, just like most of computer games do nowadays.

In this case, playing from far will decrease the quality, but you would not appreciate. And in replays you will see it that way, high quality. I think the most important thing when you play from far, is the player movements (to be fluent), textures, ambience, and the most important thing for me, lightning and shadows. This is what makes the difference to see something more similar to real life.

I hope they will do it right. EA has improved a lot the textures, ambience and lights in the World cup game for all platforms, son next gen PES will be much more better.

Certainly not in my case, Microsoft seem to have an inability to place a D-Pad on their controllers. The sorry excuse for a D-Pad on the original Xbox pad was pathetic, it has not improved on the 360, I play PES with a D-Pad which makes it impossible to play as well on the 360 as I can on the PS2. The trigger buttons are excellent for first person shooters, but for PES they're a little bit of a nuisance as far as I'm concerned.

The best pad for PES? That for which the game was designed, DualShock.

I agree with you. As much as I love the 360 and its pad for FPS's, I cna't help but feel that Playstation has the better controller for footie games. The 360 controller is quite awkward to get your hands into the right position with 1 thumb stretching up, but i will have to make do.

PS3 wont be better then then the 360. People are saying "I'm getting a PS3" with no details on what its about. I'll tell you about Sony though. They had good sucess with the PSOne then they made the PS2 which they turned into a load of gobshites. The PS2 wasn't as powerful as they said. Remember when they said "PS2, Hollywood quality games" which was bollocks because there was a Dreamcast and the Gamecube (had better features and 1st Party Support but poor 3rd Part Support) which are both as powerfull as a PS2 and the XBox which is alot powerfuller then a PS2 and has tons more features. And the games? Lets say at least 75% of chart topping games are multiformat on at least the PS2 and XBox but the Gamecube has the best 1st Part support and the PS2 has the worst. The two best current consoles to get (Besides the Xbox 360 which can;t be hacked as good as a Xbox) is the Gamecube and a XBox. And the XBox controlls aint that big they look big because of the memory ports (not there ont the 360). They actually have less buttons then a PS2.

Lets look at the details Sony have provided...

BlueTooth controls (They are going to be expensive so thyey wont sell well)

10x powerfull then the XBox 360 - First of all they claimed to put graphic chips which havnt been made yet, after the PS2 who can belive Sony and the cost of the thing it won't sell well. EVERY screenshot of the PS3 games you see ae pre rendered meaning then are not actually game footage.

I have to agree. After ignoring the 360 in favour of hanging it out for the 'superior' PS3, i can only see the PS3 being a ridiculously expensive disappointment. The agrument over what media to use has dragged on and the technology intended for the console is either not ready yet or so expensive as to not be economically feasible in a console. Even if its sold at a loss, it still has to be double the price of a 360 by the time it arrives. And i don't think Sony has the same ability to sell at a loss that Microsoft has.

A 360 is serioulsy tempting me now with the promise of next-gen pro Evo.

Do you play Call of Duty mate?

I pissed off with my 360, apart from CoD2 and Hitman I've had no fun with it, needs some "next gen" games and fucking quick.

PS3 or Xbox 360?

Just a matter of taste, like Coke or Pepsi.

For me it's probably going to be PS3 if I even buy either of them.

one thing s for sure, xbox just sucks. theyre copying their controller
( 50% gamecube, 50 % Playstation) and thats what i hate the most, but I'll be honest, if you just look at it of the bright side, all consoles are the same 'thing'.

Brazil and Inter Milan striker Adriano will be the public face of Konami's latest football game.

“I am really looking forward to working with Konami on what everyone knows to be the most realistic football game around,” the striker said. “Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is known worldwide for its quality and I am delighted to be associated with such a fine series.”
