no way. konami nor EA WOULD never add new teams in game patches. they would have to also pay for licensing. they would not throw away money to add in new teams in a patch. sorry for crush your hopes but its the fact

HOWEVER, many independent mod makers are willing and able to add new teams to PES 2010 and unlike konami or EA, they don't need obtain licenses to do so. you just have to wait for them to make a patch with new zealand, or goto a mod thread and suggest them to add new zealand.

another option is learn how to use pes editor and replace a national team with new zealand. all you have to do is edit player names and stats. player faces are the hard part, but you can stick to build faces if you don't mind. as for kits, you just need to download a new zealand kit from pes-patch and replace two files in one of your kitserver cvXX.img folders

AFAIK nat team names can't be changed using the editor on the console versions, so the only way to add them properly would be through a Konami update. No license necessary since they could use fake names and generic kits as they now do for about half the teams. There's no real reason why they couldn't just replace Bahrain with NZ, for example (since AFC and OFC are grouped together in the game anyway). I'd be shocked if they didn't do this, otherwise we'll be unable to replicate the WC finals draw. Same problem if Algeria beats Egypt in their playoff.

i dunno. i just highly doubt konami or EA would go through all that trouble for just a patch... they've never added new teams in patches of past PES, winning XI, or FIFA games

Your not meant to.... how about that one, FIFA have the rights to the world cup game as usual so theres no offical world cup in the game, just a konami cup, and look there never gonna get beyond the first round anyway so it wont make a difference.... if you reall reall really wanna play with them then edit some other team that didnt quallify and change there kit and players names bu thats as close as you can get

Not a licensed World Cup, but Konami has always gone to great lengths to include proper minnows in the past for the Konami Cup international tournament...

Kiwis all the way!!! Dont forget that the top striker in the A-League is a Kiwi buddy! And the Wellington Phoenix are playing awesome this season!

Anyway, lets all be friends and hope that Konami DO release a patch, so I can play you online, NZ vs Oz and settle it once and for all!

cmon guys, be fucking realistic

konami or ea are never gonna add a new team in a patch, even if you ask them

Why does everyone keep talking about EA? FIFA already has New Zealand and Algeria...

You can't edit national teams, plus... guess what, some people who play pro evo actually LIVE in New Zealand and want to play as that team!

and can they update the roster for Italy? They have no depth whats so ever, especially up front! Give us the option to register national players for online play! I want Balotelli, Totti, Cassano, Miccoli, Pazzini, Nesta, Materazzi and Panucci in there!

I'd like to think Konami would update National teams (update licensed kits, squads, add New Zealand and Algeria, ) but I just don't think it's going to happen. By the time the World Cup wheels round PES 2010 will be a thing of the past (as far as Konami's concerned but not me). I'd be delighted to be proved wrong, I really would but I just don't see it happening.

Isn't it possible to overwrite a Classic international team?

Well You can overwrite the players and edit the shirt, but You can't edit the flag or the name..so what use would it be, to play with Algeria a.k.a "Classic Germany"...no, the only way to get Algeria and New Zealand in the game is to change 2 teams from the league "A" or "B" or some team of the english or spanish league, that are editable.

By the way, during the last World Cup we had the same problems with Angola, not in the game in the 2005/2006 version. Konami only added Angola in the version, that came out in october 2006, after the world cup. So, I guess this time Konami will add New Zealand and Algeria in PES 2011 which should come out in october 2010...AFTER the world cup...

I guess, the only way, to play the "real" world cup will be to wait for the official world cup game from EA Sports, which should be released in april/may 2010

Actually you can get around it by creating NZ and ALG in League A or B and creating a custom cup in "Community" mode. Works like a charm...
