Been playing the 3DS version of PES 2013 (I guess 2014 didn't make it out of Japan) and there is a somewhat significant problem:
When trying to enter the word "Arsenal" it gets blocked by the language filter. I contacted Nintendo about this and got the expected response (no real help at all). So it's a bit of a long shot I know, but it would be great if something could be done about this.
While I'm here, some other feedback for the game, even though the series seems to be on hold worldwide for the 3DS:
1. Currently the controlled shot requires a double tap of the R button, which is very awkward because one tap of the R button is used for the 2nd chip shot. More often than not I get the 2nd chip shot when trying a controlled shot.
Thing is in the settings you can switch the 2nd chip shot to also be mapped to a double tap of the shot button. Why not just make that the default, and then map the controlled shot to the R button plus the shot button? Would be a lot easier this way, to not confuse the two shots like that.
It's significant too because the controlled shot is a vital part of the game. This needs fixing as soon as possible.
2. There's no way to turn off the player's name above his head during game play. Would be a lot better to allow for just a cursor, because on the small screen you need as much room as you can get, and having players' names there blocks too much of the action.
3. On that same note, better use of the second screen would help, like allowing users to put the radar there if they wanted. In fact you could probably fit a radar, and even the buttons for things like strategies and feints. As is you've got these four huge buttons, and a lot of wasted space.
4. In become a Legend Mode there is no option to have the AI automatically position your player when off screen and using the "Wide" camera. On the home console versions this is a very useful feature to have, and would be much welcomed on the 3DS version.
5. All in all PES on the 3DS is a surprisingly good game! I hope this feedback gets heard, particularly the "Arsenal" language filter problem and #1 the controlled shot issue. Thanks for listening.
