No colour we8

I just got we8 and a slide card. I've managed to get it working but when we8 starts up its all in black and white.

I can't read Japenese but as far as I'm aware there hasn't been a message asking me if i want 50hz or 60hz as my tv doesn't work with 60hz.

Is it the swap magic disk (dvd version 2.0 EUR Build) or the 50hz 60hz setting thing, if anyone can tell me where this appears in the game can they let me know as my ps2 plays colour for other games just not we8.

Please help as its spoiling my enjoyment and editing!

The same thing happened to me and a rgb scart cable sorted it out.

I just went out and brought and rgb scart cable, my ps2 is set to rgb yet still no colour, just a small black and white picture now.

i have the same problem on my portable tv. luckily gettin a new tv soon.

for now ill have to play we8 on the downstairs telly

I had the same problem but I fixed it by downloading a small patch from here

It brings a menu up on the new dvd with the option to choose nstc or pal

It should sort out your problem, I had to use the downstairs tv until I added the patch and now my old tv plays it fine .
