No Licensed Teams?

Hi all, I just bought PES 2008 yesterday, I have been playing PES since PES 4, and love the game. I have the oceana version of it for ps2, and i find that there are no licensed teams.... even in the master league it has Man Red, whereas PES6 has Manchester United and Arsenal... is there soemthing wrong with this copy, or has PES taken a backward step? I see all the reviews say there are more licenses than ever before, but I am not sure why mine doesnt seem to have any... even the man utd kit no longer has any sponsor logos or anything on it...

If anyone knows if there is a way to fix this it would be much appreciated, though I am not sure it is possible?

There's nothing wrong with your copy mate, the licenses just change with different PES games. Tottenham and Newcastle have the real kits etc on this game, and on PES6 Man united and Arsenal are licensed. To get all the kits and names etc you need to download an option file mate. Hope i helped

Konami only licened two teams in priemier ship and the teams are Newcastle and Tottenham.But you could do all the badges and strips yourslef http://www.sakax2.com/kit/

Hi there, thanks for that... bit of a shame they only license 2 teams in the premiership Im guessing the only way to download an option file is to hook up the ps2 to internet? i haven't got it hooked up yet...

you don't have to have it hooked up to t'internet.
All you need is a max drive, you then download an OF, copy it to your max drive then transfer it to you pc....

Or get a PC copy with an XBox 360 pad - much better = D

ok thanks for the advice there... any plans for pes to licence more teams out of the box? kind of spoils it really having to use man red, man blue, london blue etc...
