No longer getting offers to sell players

Hi All,

Has anyone experienced the following and any ideas why this is happening.

I'm in the 2016/2017 year of my ML. Have built up a great team and after many seasons of constant wheeling and dealing I'm finally pretty happy with my team.

In case it's relevant I've avoided big money signings and only forked out in the region of 20m maybe 3 times - with a 19 year old Giggsy as my one luxury at £53m.

I'd now like to offload a few of the fringe players that barely get a game and concentrate on improving my youthful squad. However that's me went 2 whole seasons with not one single offer despite have 8 players on the transfer list. I'm hesitant to release valuable players that I'd rather cash in on.

Any ideas why the ML has suddenly stopped offering to buy players from me? Anyone got any clues as to what's causing this frustrating situation?

Cheers,
Al

Thanks for the truly underwhelming response!

If my question is stupid then have the common lack of courtesy to deride me.

If my question is hard then mention you are stuck.

But woefully ignored on my first ever post. Jeez, I may have to convert to the evil FIFA after this snub from my Pro Evo brothers and sisters!!

Will anyone comment on my question or should I buy a Wi-fit instead??

Cheers,
Alan

It justs takes some time if they are ok players, just hold out for someone to buy them.

I know it probably wouldn't make a difference but in real-life, clubs would need to see potential signings play before they made an offer... try playing the fringe players a bit more maybe...?

i have this problem a lot. but more for me it is with it being due to their age. ie i want to get rid of berbatov and a few of the older players to make some room and also gain some funds and i am not getting any luck. it happens i guess

Try only putting them on the transfer list 1 or 2 weeks before the window and you will get more money from them if the player plays regularly

Hello Langkawi,
Yeah ive kind of been thinking this recently as well.
I'm sure the computer makes more of an effort to sign your players in the first few years.
- I have a small theory -
I reckon that they (the game creators) are aware that when you first start the ML, you will be planning to change the team, and will want to sell players to bring in your own talent, and generally mould the team to your own designs, so i am pretty certain that the computer is designed to help you with this in the first two seasons.

But yes, other teams seem to be far more reluctant to buy players that you have brought into the club yourself.
Ive noticed that when i have had offers for players, it seems to be my fringe players - either younger youth squad im trying to gradually introduce into the team, or rubbish players i only play when everyone else is unfit.
Which i guess is quite realistic in a way - teams try and buy players they like, but they believe they have a good chance of buying.

But then this wouldnt add up with the fact that you have had players transfer listed for a while. Perhaps if youre team is doing well, it could be that none of your players want to leave - ie they wouldnt turn up on a 'willingness to move' search?

This is all i have thought so far.

Cheer up mate, at least your thread isnt just about how amazing your Real Madrid team is...

I can't even get teams to watch my players anymore, it seems!

Just before the Summer window opened, I transfer listed Gutierrez (I needed a senior striker off the books to afford my younger forwards more playing time), who had scored 8, assisted 5, and averaged a rating of 6.5 during the season, and had not an ounce of interest. Still have him now that the window has closed, as he's worth too much both in terms of goals and money to release, but it meant I had to dump a few decent kids I wanted to keep just to open up some space for reinforcements I desperately needed in the GK and SB areas. Had Baumann (77), Di Gennaro (79), Granero (80) and Mannone (77) all ignored, as well, and no loan offers for five or six fantastic youth, either, when only a couple seasons back, clubs were tearing the door down to get at anyone I put on offer.

I'm stuck in the same problem... Seems they don't even watch my players... that's bad... But I do have a theory too

Maybe, after some seasons, after you built your glorious team, and starts to win every single competition you're in, your team will mantain a stability of cash and fame throughout the world, becoming the world's top team... Wich team will feel able to negotiate with a team of your greatness... They just can't afford your might players... lol

Maybe that's it...

Well, this is absolutely one thing that needs improvement. Every regular football manager shows how it should go. You can also scale the dificultiness of transfers, possebly an idea for PES2011. But 2010 would really require a patch for this. It isn't realistic that NONE player changes within a season. That never happens in real life. You have always 2-3 players dat want to leave. Also the older players are required by lower clubs in real life (see van Nistelroy going to HSV). That rarely happens with PES. You are really forced to sell them when they are 28 and can't keep them over their peaking moment (i don't no if i'm writing this correctly, i don't meen the pervert peaking). So, yes, it sucks, because you can't keep your top player as long as you would like to and must keep in mind that possbely no player is sold, meening that you must have a squad just big enough, but not having 2-5 players extra for just in case. It also meens that you will spend bilions in youth teams without using and pushing aal the players you would usually do.
And one more last thing: The dis-balance between forward, mainly attacking and defensive players. You rarely can buy a good center or full back. While there are miljons of strikers of all ages and kinds. Not really balanced.
