No manual curser change has ruined PES on live!(for me at least)

Lo, i have always always always used manual curser change for pes, i dont know how anybody gets by with not using it, but it appears you cant use manual curser change when on xbox live.
You have to use half semi-automatic.
This for me is an absolute disaster,i dont mind buttons getting changed around and such ,i can get used to that...but this , ..never in a month of sundays will i get used to half semi-auto or be able play effectivly without manual curser change.
It changes your defender always as your running another player to get the ball then suddenly it changes and you last defender starts running that way..and in most cases its the opposite way of where he is ment to be running.
PES is a great game as we all know, and ive still had a few fun matches online,well fun yes but its not real PES.
I might be in a minority here ,i dont know but for me this is absolutly gutting and if its not fixed in KONAMI`S upcoming update(i very much doubt) then for me its ruined the whole, PES on xbox live thing

Personally i have always preferred playing with semi-automati cursor change, so i guess it's a question of preference...

It really annoyed me too. its just not the same with the semi auto. you dont have the same control over players, espesially when defending

I have played the game with semi-automatic cursor change since the first PES, so you can actually play the game like this...

how can you have good positioning for your defenders if they constantly swapped to who ever has the ball on the opposition...your D-Line will not be very organized...of all the flaws so far...this has to be the worst...how can you not implement a choice to choose Manual or semi-auto....not very good...hopefully the patch can fix this

still waiting for my PC version to arrive. But yeah.. it's manual or nothing... especially in terms of defending, I really hate it when I am running alright and then it changes to another player and my defense splits open like the red sea.

your not alone, i'm not even that great a player but with no option for manual setting online, it really kills the game for me!

i've already posted on the xbox forum and got the reply that it was possible but no one have managed to explain how!

the really REALLY annoying thing about this is that it says you can edit the controls in the uk manual. Under the xbox live settings it has a list of pause menu options, one of which is 'Controls'.

Goddammit that is annoying, its like they forgot to put it in or something...

I have played with manual since the first version of this game that offered it (one of the first ISS games on the playstation 1) because the computer really has no clue which defender to choose. And to suddenly have to play the game with semi auto after SEVEN YEARS of playing this game on manual!

WTF, why can't you make it manual? That's a joke.

Can you even defend 1 - 2s with it on Semi - Auto? you cant follow a runner if it keeps changing your defender.

I havnt used it for a while, but i remember it being very irritating.

It is extremely bad if you're used to Manual (like I am).
They say that a patch will fix this soon. Hope it does.

Well, I have had a think about this and they may have put this in to make syncronisation easier over live matches. If the computer always selects then it might be more predicatible to manage.

Saying that, you can still press L1 to select another player, so I may be talking rubbish.

To be fair, I'm sure I can learn to live with it. And we can all thank christ that the auto selection is far better than it used to be.

It puts yer whole defensive plan out the window.

OH GOD PLEASE FIX THIS!!
I just played my first live game and felt totally out of control!! Running players away from the ball, opening up my defense for the opponent. Just give us manual change back!! After all these years the game has just changed on me!!
