No. No online play? Dammit, I was looking forward to online. But at least there's some good news with the power bar.

Gunplay said:yeah i hated it when defenders could header away my high through ball passes, and when i had a fast player e.g 'Martins' who i could knock the ball on miles ahead of him and the defender and he would be in on goal.
what a clinical addition this is.

I hated it when you had a player running over but you couldn't get the power you wanted so a Defender always header the ball away
The players that are good at it will make it dip quicker so I very happy about this new addition

Actually a normal person would need 2 thumbs and an index finger to do that..Zygalski said:How about: move the player into position with the left stick, aim the pass with the right stick and add power by holding down triangle?
Could work.

Or maybe make it simpler to do the manual passes.

It also seems I misinterpreted the release; online support for XBOX will be in Europe. I would assume US support will follow though when WE8 is released here - whenever that is.
As for playing it online here in the US: I'm pretty sure you will have to have a "modded" console in order to play a game coded for a region other than your own (read "import"). That's how it is with PS2, and I'm guessing the XBOX works the same way since it's also a DVD based system. Concerning the online side, I have no idea. Technically it is possible, but Microsoft might have a regional restriction in place on who can connect for that (or any) game. I've never used the service, so I have no idea how it works. It seems like a dumb idea to limit connections like that though, IMHO.
Hope this info helps.
