Dont you think some of the people on here understand the depth you can go to on Pro Evo? Just reading comments and it seems people dont know about manual passing and things like that. There are alot of in depth controls that you can use. A good example is how people didnt know about the basic concept of BAL when you could control one player. Its been in a good few years.

Wonder if people share the same view....

Well Ive played ISS and Pro Evo since they started way back. Ive never bothered with manual passing and neither has most of my mates. Its not someting we feel we need to use, normally half of my mates dont even use the sticks they use the D-Pad to move. Its not that we dont know how to, we just dont need to. We have all played Konami footy that long we already know almost exactly were passes will go and how to get them there without needing to resort to manual pass.

Aside from manual passing and controlling one player (both of which were shit on previosu versions and have been greatly improved), what else is there that people have been complaining about? Or is this an attempt to say that others aren't proper players of PES because you have found things before them?

i agree with you on this, when i did a thread about manual passing people were going on about how hard it is and they wont be able to get used to it i seem to remember, surely though this is what makes the pes series so good that you have to learn things like this to get more out of the game. When i play pes if i am not frustrated as hell there is something wrong

FIFA 09 is sick in terms of graphics, animations, and player movement. But don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard PES fan. I started playing ISS on PS1 (best soccer game ever). The gameplay from PES 2009 is much better than FIFA 09, though the player movement and AI movement is much more fluid and realistic in FIFA 09. In PES the player shifts from one direction to the next with jerks movements (again, I'm comparing it to FIFA). Yeah, the lack of rosters/sponsors/licenses in PES is a big problem for most people (thank god for option files); it's not a big problem, but hopefully this will soon change.

What I would like to see in PES (comparing it FIFA 09) is this:

1. Custom celebrations - some of them in FIFA 09 are cool, but I still want to keep the 99 available in PES
2. More tricks - FIFA 09's are not that useful, but they are fun
3. More fluid movements - player and AI
4. Ball physics (the swerve in FIFA 09 is crazy) - the reason I say this is because rarely do I see outside of the foot goals with nice swerve (or maybe it's just me)
5. Better stadiums and fans - FIFA 09 blows PES out of the water
6. More leagues/teams - but this ties back into the licenses issue

I heard that for the next title, PES wants to use FIFA as a benchmark, so hopefully we will see FIFA's graphic appeal coupled with PES' gameplay in PES 2010.

Ah yes...the Fix Player option! We used to create players and transfer them to teams and then just use the Fix Player...twas good craic!

well I thought I knew everything about pro evo.... but the control one player being in a few years??

The only flicker I saw was a "select fixed cursor player" option on pro 2008, and it was always greyed out.

Meh, but I get what you mean. The majority of my goals are manual passes, just slotting them past the keeper. Also using floating manual passes as lobs.

Nutmegs, dragbacks, shielding, knocking the ball further ahead of you, adding players to the wall in a free kick, strength of free kicks affecting height....

I could go on, but I guess the people who dont know everything are the people who have a smither of a social life somewhere in their week ;)
