Ha. I know what you mean. You see the injury time go up and you say "I'm in your half, there's still one more attack to go before the final whistle", but the damn ref blows the whistle just as you left the centre circle :chanlaugh:

It's just the spilling blunders that annoy me really. It happens a bit too often, a lot more than in a real game. I agree that if the goalies were supermen I would hate that too.
Its really sad to say, but I don't like this demo, in fact I'd go as far as saying that if this is going to be like this on full release, it is a poor game. I've been playing this since ISS and this has got to be one of the least fluid games if not the least fluid game that they have ever released.
I cant beleive that so few people have picked up on the fact that the ball movement is just too slow. I can understand that the tempo needed dropping but the ball is just unrealistically slow. I don't feel like I can smash a shot at goal without it floating. The actual physics would be fine if the ball moved at a natural speed.
My impression of this game is that they've taken 2008, prettied it up a bit, slowed down the tempo, and made the difference between the fastest/strongest player and slowest/weakest player more negligible. Thats it. A lot of the 2008 issues seem to still remain.
I've never enjoyed playing Fifa so I'll probably just stop playing football games altogether. I'll reserve full judgement until the full release and I will buy it, but whether I play it as constantly as I have done over the last 10 years remains to be seen. Could potentially be the end of an era for me.
Of course, it is just a fuckin game but still.....

The shooting is a little strange, but see, i just see that as a challenge, its a new thing to master, and you can still score plenty of goals with the new shooting, it just takes a bit of time, i didnt score in my first 4 or 5 games on top player, but im now regularly scoring 2+ goals on top player in a 5 minute match, so when the full game comes out, im already used to it.

Sometimes the shooting is absolutely disgraceful. But, last night i scored a beauty of a goal, Ronaldo had the ball wide right, crossed it to the back post where Tevez back heeled the ball on the volley on to the edge of the box where Rooney was waiting to hit it first time, straight into the top corner, i so wish i had recorded it on my phone or something.

Hi this is my first post, i have been playing pro since iss on the Snes, and think the lastest chapter is a good one. PES 2009 is feeding off PES 5, and with the power of the next gen consoles is playing nice. They have slowed the down the play from PES 2008 which i feel is working well and is harder to break down defences.
But as a Liverpool fan iam unhappy about one thing TORRES SPEED given only 85, and even shot tec decrease from PES 2008, last seaon Torres scored 33 goals.

Question for people on here, Which console will have the best version of PES 2009?
Xbox 360 or PS3 as i have both consoles and dont know which version to get.

Sad, i was thinking cuz they now got the Liverpool licence they will have better stats.

You don't really get that many 20-30 yard screamers scored in the Premiership every week so the shooting success ratio sounds pretty accurate to me. Having said that, there are a lot more shots in real life from that range that end up a few inches wide/over the post/bar than the shots do in PES2009.
