It is strange but i bet on PES2009 they will actually be quite good this year...

i'm looking forward to hearing from redmadlad again soon, a lil update as to how the game is...

very excited about getting the demo tomorrow... shame i am working late again... will have to start playing about 10 in the evening...

anyone know the state of the demo i.e is it a 100% complete version or the 85% build etc???

i remember that after an of playing pes 2008,i was sure that that game would be total failure.
i hated 2008 and i didn't really like pes 6.
After seeing pes 2009 videos,i was trully prepared for another disapointment.
well..after one hour of pes 2009 demo,all i can say is "WOW"

-Speed is great.
-Field is bigger and makes building your play a true pleasure.
-Graphics are AMAZING compared to what we had seen till now.
-Sound is just ok.
-i am STUNNED with ball-physics.
-an AMAZING improvement on players positioning
-it's very early to say,but AI looks really good.
-it's much more difficult to take a player like Ronaldo and cross the whole defence.

That's it for now.

All we got is a bunch of fuckers who think they are funny and a handfull of people who confirm it's true. If this demo is true then where are the hundreds of reviews?

Not downloading anything will wait till tommorrow.

and o yeah the FIFA09 on the pc sucked big time on the ps3 it was better, so it may also apply for pes

I've just got it and played a few games. I'm not going to comment too much on the gameplay because I need more playtime. It's slower paced than 2008, seems more responsive on button presses.

The graphics are quite similar to 2008, more detailed close ups. Runs very smoothly on my PC (E6600 @ 3.6ghz, 8800GT, 2GB ram). Constant 60fps @ 1280x1024.

Overall good impression so far.

I've just gotten the demo else where and played it once, right off I was getting shit with the frame rate on cut scenes and freekicks so I'm off to lower some setting to see if that helps. The game played fine apart from that but at this point in time I couldn't make any harsh judgments, I need to play it again.

Nice work, you must have a monitor with that as the highest resolution as your rig would be able to handle 1900x1200 quite easily. :)

I turned off the video option in the settings and it seemed to fix the problem I was having a while ago. First impressions is I don't hate it and the menu isn't as bad as I was expecting, they've also added the option for players to go up on set pieces which is nice, the rest of the team selection area is pretty much the same as you were.

My only real moan straight off is the cut of the players shorts and the tud off the ball, scandalous.

Part from that so far so good but I haven't tested the GK yet to any extent.
