thanks Baddar! pity on the fact that the computer didn't really create something, it's a problem PES had for quite a time now, the ai team just doesn't threaten your goal enough.

Fear not.

I've just lost 3-1 to Barca :)(). They can create chances. Granted, I defended like a bint at times, one of the goals was a penalty and another came when a ball was played over the top to Messi who headed it past the on-rushing (pressed triangle) VDS.

Nice, thanks for the info! Can't wait for the final game to come out, since this is only 85% build, wonder what the other 15% will include?

Has it actually been confirmed anywhere that the demo is the 85% build and not the end product?

I did read somewhere that somebody quoted Seabass that said it's only the 85% build, but how true that is nobody knows? I don't really care, since the PES09 demo's feedback is really positive!

Another annoyance spotted;

In 2008, it seemed as though your AI team-mates would make tackles for you and give away silly fouls. That happened to me just now, and I gave away a penalty because of it. :(

but sureley it is a good thing as players that you are not controling should have a mind of their own, i.r paul scholes making similar bad tackles... yes it is annoying but surely more realistic???

Goalkeepers are my only gripe so far. Parry way too much, although it was Van der Sar so...:erm:

By parry I hope you don't mean knocks it out 2 yards straight to a striker. My main hate from PES 2008 (bar lag) :fplm:

No diving in it anymore? Over gameplay is poor imo only improvement from last year is that the lag is away, much slower, and as stated before by someone its as if they are playing on carpet

what about the gameplay do you find so poor?

When you first play the game it seems so much slower and not as fluid as previous versions, but once you give it chance and start to get used to it, you enjoy it more. I can understand peoples first impressions of not liking it, but its hard to judge only playing a five minute demo with limited teams. From what I've played, I'll be buying it.

i love the passing in this game. Passing it all the way up the field and scoring a tap in is just as fun as scoring a 30 yarder..

cant get enough of this game

From what ive played this game is good ((still better than fifa) but i expected a bit better) but still has the Pro Evo style to it.
Things i like (from just the gameplay)
- Edge of the seat attacking
- Better graphics
- Replays look way better
- AI is alot lot better
- A more flowing game (but still could be better)
- More variety of crossing rather than just high or low
- One touch passing looks alot better in the game

There are a few flaws to the game which ive notices though and dont like
- I really hate them moving the skill button to the left stick, the skill is very difficult and when you do some skill it ends up looking very jittery and you cant put it back on the controller options either
- The overuse of the new skill turn feature
- When defending the player sometimes automaticly slides for you (it always ends up been a fould and often a yellow card)
- Many of my passes end up going to the wrong player i intended it to go to, its very annoying when they pass it 40 meters into a ruck of players when you wanted to play it simple
- Although its been improved to be a lot better, shots are been blocked more a less all the time
- Keepers seem to let the ball loose when its comfortably in there chest
- One thing which looks stupid is the shorts look ridiculously baggy and long

With it been 2 weeks till its released i think the demo is basically 98% of what the full game will be like, as they'll still have to do final bits of editing, manufacturing and shipping the game.
There are always alot of negatives to a game but once you get used to them you can sometimes end up liking them

man i wish i could play it :fplm:

Same here. I'm at my village and the only internet access is through mobile phone. I'll be back tomorrow but the demo will take about 9 hours to download.

A question about the throw-ins. Is the "invisible line" still present?

I seem to recall seeing fake dives in a PES 09 video somewhere. How come its not in the demo.

Dont tell me they removed it?
