Having seen how lazy Konami are with regards to names and appearances (surely the names could be at least close, and who needs a contract to create a good likeness?) I don't entirey blame GAME. I also see from the demo now what people mean when the talk of the "stutter". Here's hoping the final game is improved.

Got mine in Newcastle around 10am, its a tough sonofabitch to play as well, played about 20 halves only scored 2 goals, keiron dyer is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, oh, and i hate the analogue sticks on the ps2 pads, off to play it again now

I managed to get a copy of the demo today from my local store (Doncaster) they only had ten delivered and was down to six when I got there, fortunately for me I was able to get out before lunch time to get my copy.

I have played a few games now, 1 - 0 being my best result and 0-3 my worst.

Lots of improvements although they have taken the manual pass away which is not a good thing, or at least I havent worked out to get it working; I don't need to mention the stutter bug, nuff said already.

Overall great game, even better when I have mastered the controls.

Some of the faces are no way near, eg. gerrard and heskey, but I guess these will be able to be changed so I can deal with that.

The manual pass is there. You have to move the R3 stick in the appropriate direction and then hold down the R3 stick button to add power to the pass.

R3 stick down then up flicks the ball up for a volley.
The flick move mentioned by Zinedine Kilbane (great cool and funky name there dude! :) ) is done just by pushing in the opposite direction when the ball is at the right height.

Who's going to be the first to win 2-0??
Come on! Anyone know any sneaky methods to win penalties? ;)

another thing, it does tend to jump a bit in game and slow down when the ball goes into the net, hope this is just the demo, cause it does seem to load alot from the disc while in game.....

That is known as the 'stutter' bug. You can fix it by turning off the commentary. Hopefully the final version won't have any of the stuttering.

Well, you cannot turn the commentary off on the demo, and that stutter bug is really annoying, its very frustrating, but it is on level 5, there have been a few handballs in the games as well, and it seems very diffucult to get a shot on target from outside the box...always seems to get someone in the way of it, i am not sure about this one.....

Stuttering all the way to the national league

Ive got mine now the stutter is bad and like a man said you cant turn it off had 4 games best 1-0 win others 0-0 0-0 0-0 , its my wife's birthday today twat er so i dont think there will be any more go's for me until tomorrow anyway catch ya all later and good luck i think a 2-0 will be the best anybody's gonna get ;)

Went in to game wednesday, told they had a problem, they said come back tomorrow. i said how much stock u got coming in? i cant get back here til saturday (local store is 45 minutes away) they said "its popular so i would imagine a few.

just rang up "we only got ten and they went in about 30 minutes" can i reserve one in your next delivery? "its a competition so not really"

10 copys in a big city like wolverhampton seemed ridiculous, so imagine my surprise when i phoned the 2nd nearest: birmingham and they had the same!!! 10 copies to supply the whole of birmingham!!!

KONAMI and Game have really screwed up this time, neither have come out with the slightest credibility!! i'd prefer them to leave the date really far back until the demo or official game is finished then bring it forward when they can actually sell it

Hey mate,
Do you HAVE to use the anolgue sticks all the time? or is it just for skills and manual passes?

I ruddy hate them too, I'm a d-pad man baby.

you can use the d-pad, just thought i would try the analogue sticks, my bloody thumb slips off it when i try and turn direction

I think Gerrard looks far better in PES3 than PES2.
Well I don't like the camera view but that can be changed in the full version. Most of my goals have come from headers. Owen has also scored two one-on-one whopers. One of them was a Beckham through ball that I chipped over the keeper and another was a through ball from Gerrard which I smashed past the keeper.
Still no more than one goal scored in a match though. :(
