I find that the easiest way to score goals is from corners, but in open play i jus pass around loads until i find an opening and then calmly hit the ball into the net.

I can relate to the passing around a lot. It's pretty succesful. I finish it off with a through ball into the box or long-range effort from Gerrard.

Well, I still haven't managed to score 2 in a game, but I have found out something that may be useful to some.

I've discovered that it's relatively easy to get Sorin sent off, just give the ball to Becks, and bait him until he slides - make sure he connects... In 10 games last night I managed to get him sent off within the first 10 minutes about 4 times. Believe me, it's so much easier to work down the right without Sorin - Veron tends to come over to cover which of course removes the biggest stumbling block to an attack through the centre.

Quite cool really, I always thought Sorin was a bit of a hothead. Against ten men I still haven't scored more than 1 tho. Hit the woodwork three times in one match though! D'oh!

Incidentally, does anybody konw what the number in the bottom right corner after a match is? It tends to go up by 50 after every game. It just says something like 1150 PES, then disappears...

It is the currency of the game, PES points.
You are supposed to get 50 for each match completed in the full game. Then you save them up to buy stuff from the PES shop. Meaningless for the demo.

One guy at pesfan thought he was great at the demo since it gave him 4000 points as a "code"!!
:)

Bad News about registering your codes from one of the organisers.

"PES3 National League multiple entries

Have confirmed with the main organisers this afternoon...
You CAN'T register more than once for PES3 National League.
Well, you can, but only your first score will be logged, with all other entries ignored, so there's really no point."

Nice to know things like this NOW, isn't it?
Good luck to everyone here.
BTW, I only registered my 3-0 win (although I did register it twice to be safe).

They changed the date. The final date is now Friday 10th, tomorrow sometime - although not sure exactly when. Enter your code today if possible to be safe.

My goals included a 39 metre FK by Beckham-Cavellero made a complete balls of it and 2 headers from corners by Ferdinand(drug test!) and heskey. Not sure whether to enter the competition would that score get me in and what is everyones opinion on the comp, anyone in last years?

Stop messing about and register your 3-0 dammnit! You could already be too late. Some people have been complaining that the registration on the site is now closed. So check it out NOW or you could be sorry.

3-0 is a great score. Reading through this thread would tell you that.

EDIT:- Just found out that registration has been re-opened until Monday so don't delay and get that score in!

I have a spare copy of the UK PES3 demo disk. Anyone interested in it? Preferably someone not from the UK.

Well, I'm sure all concerned will be over the moon to find out that I finally scored 2 goals in one match on the demo...

Only after about 6000 attempts though! I was never going to enter the competition, but at least I know now that I'm pretty rubbish compared to others anyway!

Having said that, I've never played WE, only PES2, so maybe it's just the learning curve. Or not...

You can play anyone you want since not everyone can make it to all the league dates, but since it is a league, you will eventually have to play everyone.
