No problem, I thought there might be a way of editing the ripkit to create a bigger image. However, I think the lba is hard-coded within the intro file....

Does anyone know where I can get the nike ole intro, that is smaller than the original we7ij.pss?

Any idea which files for editing the names of the balls in we7ij? I take it that I need a hex editor too. Any suggestions on a good one?

Rool Mix V4 - Which ISO/File to patch

In the txt joined to the patch, rool mix ' author said that you need to patch the iso of We7 , but no indication
The We7 or We7i? the .iso or .bin ?

Because I tried everything but ppf-o-matic said that the block of i don't know what isn't correct..... I Tried Patching We7i with X-Euro Patch and it worked fine so .... is my rip of We7 corrupted ?

( I need this patch to be able to patch we7/we7i with the african cup 2004 patch)

P.S. : for me the best hex editor is Hex Workshop but i did never use it to modifiy We/PES files

Hi, I've posted this on the beginners guide thread too but hope it's ok to post it here too cos I'm desperate to make my pes3DVD a CD so I can start patching. Big appologies if it shouldn't be here but didn't know if many people still check the beginners thread.
We've been trying to follow the Beginners guide and thought we'd done it right but the copy wouldn't load when using the Magic swipe card! We successfully copied pes1 CD>CD but can't manage the copy of pes3DVD>CD! Can anyone spot where we went wrong?!!
Steps 1-7 went fine, then step 8 we extracted the flash file into the "patched" folder using winrar. We did the attributes and ran DVDscan2 (found newest link on here) and it didn't find anything! When we doubled clicked on "pes.bat" the dos page said press any button and then displayed the first 8 lines or so "copied" but then "unable to copy" for every line after that! The soccer3.iso file was created but said 0 bytes when clicked on. We then carried out the rest of the instructions (usind CDmage beta) and tried to burn to CD with CDWin at stage 16 before attempting patches. Just before we tried this the soccer3.iso size had now "become" 500MB or so. Any idea what's wrong? We wondered whether the DVDscan didn't work but got the link off here and had none of the error messages others have quoted. And why did we get only 500MB for the soccer.iso file instead of 613MB?
Please help us out if any of you can, we thought we'd done it but feel gutted! I'll reply to anything asap! Thanks again to anyone who can help us out.

Beardymagic: sorry , i can't help you , but i found a rip kit for PES3 ( made by french people ) , don't know if the iso size will be about 500 mb ...

Thanks Server for trying to help, where did you find the ripkit and how would I apply it?! (sorry if that sounds simple) Do you think my soccer3.iso file was only 500MB cos of the iso I used when I tried to copy it? I thought all the bought discs would contain the same amount of info in the iso? I'll try starting again from my mate's disc and see if I have any more luck. Can anyone else help me?!

have you followed the ripping guide from here ? Because in the previous post you´ve mentioned that you used the "beginners guide" :confused:

Hi everybody, and forgive me in advance if my question is really stupid.
I tried to Rip my WE7i Jap DVD into a CD, in order to patch it and I did follow the ripping guide from here except the fact that I created an image of my DVD with Alcool120 on my HD and then I extracted the data onto my HD with IsoBuster
I followed the procedure step by step and I finally burned an the .iso file (638Mo with Alcool (4x speed)

My PS2 recognizes my CD as a PS2 game and launches it, but after the "Playstation 2" logo, my screen remains desperatly blank.

Can anybody help me ?

Do you think I shall try to convert the .iso into a bin/cue with CDMage ?

Alcohol converts into a MDF or other extension I think. Its best to rip it to .bin using or extract the files from ISOBuster. If its a blank screen then its possible that the DVD Check hasnt been removed.

You rip it from DVD hence it has a DVD check. You remove it so that it works on CD.

larsson, if you were asking me if I'd tried the ripkit to make PES3 a CD, then no, I just tried to follow the beginners guide. Would the WE ripping guide thread work for PES3 too or should I just stick to trying the beginner's guide again and again until somehow it just works?! The problem is, if I need to use the ripkit, then it's still alien to me as to how to try it because I'm obviously new at this! I don't suppose anyone can see where I may have gone wrong using the beginners guide? Could it be the original part with the isobuster didn't work as well as I thought it had and so I ended up with less info and hence only 500MB? I tried the new disc with the swipe card version 3.0 so that should be ok. To be honest, the only stuff I know about all this has been gained from these forums so when it didn't go right and I couldn't see the same prob elsewhere, I thought I'd ask! Thanks for any help!
