I was wondering if you can make separate strategies for home and away games. I know that you can do one line-up/strategy in the team edit menu, but is there perhaps a possibility to do 2 different strategies for one team. Often teams play with different line-ups and tactics in home and away matches.

larsson, I don't think the game differentiates between home and away tactics. You could save the differing tactics in those Save formation boxes and load up the appropriate ones when needed. If you pick your team and then start the match, go to the formation screen and load the formation you want. The players should stay in correct positions (depending on how you saved the file) and the tactics and arrows etc will change to what you want.

I know that player marking wasn't saved in the formations for previous games - not sure if they save this for WE7/PES3 yet. Good luck.

Yeah, I know the thing with the formation saving/loading but I had the hope that you could make different strategies, one for home games, one for away and they load automatically. But it´s not that important. Thanks

larrson, you could try saving one file for home tactics and one for away. What do you think of the new general tactics? Any good?

I heard that there are some changes in the tactic menu but to be honest I didn't look at it, I'm only making the line up and the captain and the kick takers, that's all. When I'll start my ML on 5* then I will have a closer look on it. Where are the differences ?
btw. there are some little mistakes in the editing menus in the redhot patch 2.2, when you look at the player´s stats in the edit menu where you have the whole players of a team listed there is a skill called agility, and when you select a player it´s called reaction. So is it agility or reaction? And the same thing is somewhere on the bottom with the condition thing.

I'm not too sure about the new stats. Seems a bit mixed up with Reaction, Repsonse and Agility.... oh well.

The last option there is 'Quick Settings' which you go to and there are a bunch of new settings. Not sure how they work yet. I guess you just click on one, eg 'Counter Attack' and your team will tend to that as much as possible? You can't assign buttons to these.

(The last option Should be 'Copy Formation' but I'm not sure why it isn't in this pic)

btw. yes it´s the thing with reaction and agility and do you know what the difference between play condition and condition is ?

These are just guesses based on comparison and may not be 100% accurate but what is correct is when you compare the teams directly. If one has a higher stat, then this is taken from the bars. The actual values of the bars are tricky so apologies for that:

Benfica:
Offence - 7
Defence - 7
Teamwork - 7
Speed - 8
Technique - 7.5?

Porto:
Offence - 6
Defence - 8
Teamwork - 7.5
Speed - 7.5
Technique - 7

Sporting:
Offence - 5
Defence - 8.5
Teamwork - 8
Speed - 7.5
Technique - 6.5

Please don't blame me if you are not happy with these descriptions.
That's the best I can do for now. Hope it will help a bit.
Don't think the stats are biased for the clubs - maybe the makers don't have much access to league info for the clubs?

Based on the team stats bars, Celtic are better in all ways, by at least one and up to 2.5 (?) notches on the bars. Someone already gave their opinion about the relative squads.

Is the silver goal in WE 7 or in PES 3 already included ?
This would be fine, bbut the Golden Goal rule was better, more exciting.
Does the Ai also use the Quick Settings ?

The Silver goal is in the games. It can be turned off as you could the golden goal in previous games.

I don't think the AI uses any tactics, or it doesn't look like it does. In ISS Pro Evo 2, they used to use the button (X, [], /\, O) tactics but nothing since.

Silver Goal rule is used in Extra Time.
If a team scores and is winning at the half time or full time of Extra Time, they win. It gives the opposition time to equalise which makes it much better than the golden goal, I reckon.

If the score is a draw at extra time half time, they keep playing. If one team is winning, the match is over.
If the score is still a draw at full time of extra time, they go to penalties.

(No, the ball isn't silver)

why don't you check out the action replay web site www.codejunkies.co.uk

i doubt codes for ntsc games will work on your pal action replay though

Their is currently one in production at the moment. When we see it is a good question. it should be a matter of time.

Any of you had some strange calls by the ref? I played a match against Milan where I hacked down one of their players, the advantage was played, but when the ball was crossed into the area by another Milan-player the ref changed his mind and blew the Whistle! The replay showed the freekick I made by the corner flag, but they where awarded a penalty!! I then went on to lose 2-1 and bye bye Konami-cup! Thanks a lot Berlusconi!

Zygalski, I know I wrote this in another (wrong) thread by a mistake... please don't kill me :)
