Offline - 2 player tournament

In each PES up until PES 6, it was possible for two players to have, let's say a 32-team-tournament with group and knockout stages. If me and my buddy was Arsenal and Manchester United, it was possible for one or the other to control the oposite team in such a tournament. If Arsenal was in group A and was playing against Juventus, my buddy could then simply control Juventus. And so we could go on until both Arsenal and Man Utd were knocked out.

In Pes 2008, 2009 and 2010 this option was somehow removed from the game. I never tested last year's version.

My question related to this is; Is this option still removed from this year's game or have the developers finally got themselves together?

(FIFA has always had this option and it just makes offline playing much more competetive).

You can pick more than 1 user in a cup but not sUre if when your team is not playing you can control the opposition. To find out I'd need some friends haha

I know you can pick more than 1 user:) We can off course pick 32 users..but then we have to play them all aswell...but that is not the point..

We want both of us to play all the time. When my team, Arsenal, plays Juventus (which orignially is CPU-controlled in the tournament), my friend can either join my team in the game or as in the previous PES-version (until PES 6) he could join as the opposition-team. From PES 2008, the second player could only join as a teammate and could not control the opposite team.

This really comes to fun if my friend's team is knocked out in the tournament and if he gets to still play as all my oponents, nothing would really be as satisfying (for both) to beat each other on the way to the final or so.

I am only wondering if this (somehow) is again possible in PES 2012? It is quite important so I am thankful for all answers :)

It isn't which is stupid as it was back in the say and it still is in FIFA. Konami have tooken loads of Modes out they didn't need to -First this, then 2v2(For Xbox), then the world missions and the random selection match. There will be a time where even Master League will be taken out. Just hope it's not in my generation

That's just d**m annoying..

I just really wanted to buy this game this year since I skipped last year's edition.

Maybe I'll end up bying it anyway, but I can't understand why this was removed in the first place. The total offline multiplayer experience really disappears without his possibility.

Thanx for the reply :)

Is this not possible in the Community Mode? I always thought it was possible here. Will try myself later on
