i have just got PES3 working on my laptop, full speed, no problems! even connected to the internet and msn.

all i did was download konamis second patch and it worked perfectly!

i knew it should work, even though i have a crap graphics card, it is a brand new computer with one of the biggest processors around.

thanks a lot to all the people who helped me, djdavedoc, ctrlaltdel in particular. both geniuses :D

now... time to get patching ;)

But there's no crowd chants now, and the game really flickers along where it used to be slow-mo, and that's only if you play in low details. I really hope Konami release a better, proper patch, because all of them have been good and bad in their own ways so far.

well, at first i had the sound off from when i was trying it before, cos i heard that made it faster. i had it on 640x480 and windowed.

i downloaded the patch and then left it at 640x480, windowed, and put it on low detail. to my absolute shock, the game ran too fast!!! so, i put the sound back on, and changed it to 800x600, and now it works perfectly with good graphics, much superior to ps2, and the editing is extremely fun :cool:

i feel for all the people that havent been able to play it, it was frustrating, but i was looking for all the complicated fixes and all it took was that patch. konami must be given credit even though they shouldnt have fucked it up in the first place.

Edit: and the sound works perfectly too.

very true ash but you know how beta testing is before they release these things! they see it works perfectly on one machine and accept it!
