Was on the front page reading a few reviews since I have been totally on the fence about what game to get this year (last footie game was PES2011) and DD and someone else pretty much convinced me to get PES so I figure I'll sign up, seems like a neat site with some cool people.
I had my first PES experience in the PS2 days with PES3 I believe. I was playing FIFA mostly which did the job for me but wasn't anything special, then a friend was introduced to PES from another friend and we honestly couldn't get over how far ahead this was compared to FIFA (and how fun it was in comparison). I never really looked back after that and got all the PS2 games and one of the PSP ones too because I had such an addiction, but I still kept in touch with FIFA too. Then this generation of consoles came along and I fell away from PES and FIFA began to improve. My first taste of PES this gen was 2011 (which I got after realising FIFA 11 was basically FIFA 09 with minor adjustments) and I liked it, a lot. I mean there were / are some massive, glaring issues and faults with it, but the depth of the game was fantastic. The passing, the shooting, the general range and learning curve of the game was great. I only started to get good towards the start of this year but hey I'm happy with being in any way useful at the game at any stage.
The only issue for me is that I don't really know anyone who plays PES and I've been looking for people to play a game online with for a while since I've spent this whole year sinking my teeth into a ridiculous number of single-player titles and sometimes you just need a break from that and to interact with other people, even if it is through another video-game. Anywho I'm on the PS3 and will hopefully have 2013 tomorrow or Wednesday and if anyone else here feels like a game feel free to add me (natz-k), and don't worry this isn't just a one-off post where I say "I want X friends add me kbai". See you around the forum!
