Well ... been reading this thread now and i can just say there are plenty of n00b's out there. Why do so many ppl cry about "this wont work" "how do i patch" "help, howto burn" etc. It isnt that hard if you READ the guides. Zyglaski made a great guide, follow i and you will be sucessfull.
Well, if someone care i can post a quick guide here and if you dont understand howto patch after this you should consider playing any other ps2 game ....
1. Open DVD Decrypter, goto "Mode" then "Iso" and select "Read R" then choose source : Thats where you put your WE8 DVD game. Select destination: Where you want to put your image of the game.
2. After this, unpack the patch archives. Unpack apache and pdx-pom3. Install apache and start the proggie. Goto "File" and then "Open file" and select your newly created ISO image. Then right-click on the file DATA_J.ASF and choose "Extract". Choose where to put the file. This is the file we are going to patch.
3. After extraction done (can take some time, its around 950 MB) open up pdx-pom3 proggie. Select which "ISO file" you want to use by clicking the floppy image and choose your ISO file. Then do the same with "Patch" and select the file OLé MiX LiTe V 0.1.ppf. This take some time ....
4. Patch is done, go back to apache (if the proggie is still running your ISO is already loaded, otherwise start apache again and load the ISO, you know howto do now) Right-click on DATA_J.ASF and choose "Update selected file" and point to your NEW PATCHED DATA_J.ASF. This take som while and when done, replace OVER.AFS, SLPM_656.57 (these are included in patch archive) Also, if you want a new intro with Henry's home, you replace WE8_OP.PSS.
5. Everything is done, you may now use DVD Decrypter once again to burn your image. Goto "Mode" "Iso" and choose "Write W" Then select your image in "Source" and burn as slow as possible. Other burn proggies may be used, like Nero or Alchohol 120 %, but i wont describe howto burn in these.
Just a tip : Use a DVD-RW instead of a DVD-R, as there will be updates to the patch and it will require a new patch. Then you wont waste a DVD-R since you don't want your old one whene there is a new patch out !
Still can't get it working ?? Well, then you're dumb
Credits to the patchmakers, this patch is really good since its the first one with so many updates and stuff in it, keep up the good work, im looking forward to future versions !
