Online Lag Cheaters

Im so tired of this cheating stuff im just about ready to quit pes forever!

Basically to cheat the opponents cause lag by using a program that reduces their upload. Most usually do this when they go a goal down but now most do this from the start of the match. It occurs more and more the higher the rank you go.

The general effect is normally players become very unresponsive and slow. The passing and changing player cursors become terrible.


Does konami know about this massive problem? What are they doing to fix it?

Is there any thing I can do to counter this problem?

Those guys usually have good ball colours (normally green or yellow).... but have an empty ball icon....

They are easy to spot....

Understood ! exactly my experience in about 20% of games I play - the thing that annoys me (I have set up seperate thread) is that the opponent often has a green light when you set up game. Therefore these idiots are hard to avoid.

excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by empty ball icon is it the ball above the ping colour that says ok when when you have preesed say kickoff?????:

When you see someone's name there is a ball symbol and a small circular indicator....

How much the ball is filled indicates that the person rarely gets disconnected of games... filled up ball is the best.

The small colored circle indicates the status of the connection relative to you.
Green for good, red for bad.


Some notes:

-> People that get connection problems will probably won't have filled up balls. That doesn't necessarily mean they're cheaters... just means their configuration might not be correct or even acceptable for online play.
Which causes disconnections.

-> A person with a red colored circle doesn't necessarily have a bad connection.... it just has a bad connection to you...


It's very common for people in 2v2 rooms to start pointing fingers on red circles, but if only one person sees it, that might mean it's that person who has the bad connection.
Always double-check for opinions.


As a thumbs up rule, try to play with people with, at least, yellow circles and filled up balls.



As an example, I have a 16Mb internet connection.
I normally have green balls, on some occasions yellow.
I also have a completely filled up ball.

By chatting around I have found people that have 1Mb connections.... of course that won't cut it for online play...

Just played some idiot from Saudi Arabia (who also started swearing at me as soon as the match window appeared),game started,everything is ok,no lag whatsoever,scored the first goal at the 20th minute,and all of a sudden a lag of 4-5 seconds started,while he just dribbles around my players and scores 3 easy goals!
WTF,How the fuck is this possible to do on the PS3? Shitheads like him should be banned for good! :angry:

Why are there so many 'overseas' players anyway - when you log in online there are clearly defined lobbies i.e. england france etc why are there so many players in the english speaking lobbies from abroad - you can tell by the amount of rooms set up that start 'Raum' or 'Stanza' etc. I avoid them like the plague.

Keep away from Arab countries online. You have only played 1 game against these guys and lost. I have had a bucket full, and lost every game exactly the way you have described- Bastards.
douglas93 - i am overseas (Ireland) and i have to go on the english lobby because there is not an Irish lobby. I do not have anywhere else to go. (And the French get the upper 'hand' against my nationality, so will not be going there)

Yep had this, went 1-0 up, the opponant paused the game for 10 seconds, upon returning I couldnt even move my players. Fuck this game

all you do is go to www.proevoeliteleague.co.uk sign up to and join theirs a chat room for any questions...you have to play what they call let games against two of their moderaters and then you get to pick your team or they will pick one for you i spartak moscow. one major rule for the game is NO CUT BACKS..very average players like me can have a very good game and learn a lot from the good players...join worm your love it

the new way to "cheat" is that they use their ML teams with CR,Messi,Ibra,Buffon.....lol and if they r losing games lagging.

A little too frequently.... might be the new patch, but I doubt it.
