Virtual European Cup.

Seeing as though people are starting World Cups and Club team tornaments i thought i'd start an International European Cup Tournament.

There will be 16 teams competing, each person picks one team and chooses their starting lineup, tactics etc. The games will be CPU vs CPU, 5* difficulty setting, 10 minutes long, the player conditions will be set at random (if everyone agrees).

I will give a brief match report on after each game. There will be a top goalscorers chart and a top assisters chart.

Once everyone has picked a team then you can then start posting your tactics on this thread. Like the World Cup thread i will post all schedules and groups when i have all the members.

This will start after the day after the World Cup Tornament has ended.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Maybe the Euro's just don't have the universal appeal of the World Cup?

Wait for the matches in the world cup to start and then those who missed out or get knocked out will come over here.

Italy pls for me (might bring me luck Zyg!). So do we post tactics b4 for the game is played? Cos surely you will wanna change tactics dependent on which team you play? Or will tactics stay static? What about subbing and injuries... is that down to the CPU?

I would read the virtual WC thread but I have a 56k dial up and it's s-l-o-w at the mo.

I will not be participating as i feel i would get the urge to cheat!:p

I will be using the default teams, like the world cup thread.

Reb: The tactics will stay how they are, otherwise there would be too much hassle with all 16 people wanting to change their tactics! As for subbing, that will be decided by the CPU. Seeing as though this will all be done on just a normal match mode then i will turn the injuries off as they can't necessarily carry on to the next game.

Come on blue, you can't really cheat if the CPU is controlling your team, can you?
I suppose you could sub the opposition keeper for a striker but that's a bit cheap and I don't think anyone would do that.

If tactics stay the same, how about the starting 11? Can we change that? Really Don't want Heskey to play!
